Now how do you charge or invoice for moving the water truck for example? You get a call to move it, is it based on a set rate that you have discussed? Or you make the rate up with each piece of equipment you haul? Or how do you decide what to charge when you get a phone call to move something?
Someone calls you to move something and you’re able to tell them how much it will cost in that phone call or you have to see it in person first?
Most people in my line of work have set rates for different size machines it’s a hourly rate, but in some cases, we do quote a job, but we always try to figure out how many hours it will take us and then just use our hourly rate and give them a quote as a flat rate
