Great video , nice and easy speed of explanation. I am retired and have tried my hand at some trim work with good success, all thanks to videos like these. Thanks from N Ireland
Thank you for the very detailed video. Too many people rush through the DIY. I spent a good 4 months (on top of 45+ hour work weeks) doing crown molding in our 4 small bedrooms, our master bedroom, the living room, kitchen, dining and hallway. Next step is window trim. I've been thinking about the Craftsman style for some time and this looks very close to what I wanna do. I like the style of cove. Thanks again.
I did a video of my trim out too. I'd like you to take a look to see what you inspired and see what you think! Gave you a shout out too. Thanks. Just click on my picture.
The piece your calling a bead that is on the bottom and I know you mention is 1/2 inch stock. There are very few places right around me that carry 1/2 in stock and you mention you rip these on your table saw. How hard is it to rip these pieces without having a lot of saw marks? Also, what size round over bit do you use on the bottom bead?
Thanks for the kind compliments. I only rounded the front so the sides would look a little less polished and more rustic. However, looking back I think they might have looked better if I would have either ran those ends through the round over bit also or made a mitered return. Good luck!
Great video and demo! Question though, is there a certain amount of clearance I need to leave between the frame and/or drywall in order to fit shims or have some adjustment room? Also, what is the thicknest of the wood used?

Your videos are GREAT! for the top and the bead do you only round the fronts not the sides? Cheers!!!

How do you trim out the window that's already in?
Great work, excellent attention to detail. May I ask.... what paint kit are you using in the video?

did you say what kind of wood your using?
The board you’re calling a one by four is it actually 1 inch or 3/4 of an inch ?
1x4's are actually 3/4" x 3 1/5"
I noticed you moved from a jessem router table to a kregg router table - any particular reason? Which one do you prefer at this point?
It's a Kreg table with a Jessem lift.
What size round over bit do you use on the bottom bead?
Hi there what type of wood did you use?? Thanks
It's pine.
You need to have your electrician buy a new tape measure.
you didn't put a round over on filet and cap.
