  • The last stage of the Mediterranean Epic 2025 started on the already classic scene of La Concha beach, which dawned with its particular Mediterranean climate, mild temperature and sun, ideal to face the last kilometers of this edition.
A route with novelties, orchestrated by the Treballaors and Machacamazos paths, which consisted of 56 kilometers and 1150 meters of slope. A day with two long uphills and two technical downhills, which have decided the winners of this eighth edition.
The first kilometers were ridden along the coast, in packs, until the climb of the radar of Oropesa del Mar.
The first climb of the day was determined by Wout Alleman, who wanted to be in first position to try to keep his distance with his rivals. The riders, along with the leader, faced the first descent of the day, Machacamazos, a demanding trail full of rocky terrain, which led them again to a flat area, where speeds really skyrocketed.
Reaching the first half of the race, Alleman, Miguel Muñoz, Seewald and Aldridge were ahead of the rest of the pack, leading them to the second mountain pass of the stage: a longer climb which led to the second descent, the Treballaors path.
Overlooking the sea, riders faced their last kilometers with a very rolling stretch, including one of the most iconic scenes of this race, the passage through sand with zero elevation, a true privilege.
Young promising Charles Aldridge, in spite of a technical breakdown, crossed first the finish line, followed by Alleman and Evensen. The overall classification did not offer any surprises, keeping the fastest riders, Alleman, Charles and Evensen, on the podium.
In the women’s category, there were hardly any differences in the positions regarding the previous stages. Rosa Van Doorn once again demonstrated her skills on the terrain of this region, crossing first the finish line and taking a well-deserved victory on the overall classification. Janina Wust and Chrystelle Baumann joined her on the podium.
