As a marine biologist watching them see a shark and automatically say people are going to get bitten makes me so sad. I get it that people are afraid of sharks, and that's 100% their right but literally so many people have this misconception about sharks killing people, it's sad....it's not because you're swimming and all of the sudden a shark appears that's he's gonna "ok, a person right in front of me i should bite, yes" this isn't what happens! MOST OF THE TIME sharks couldn't care less about us in the sea, shark attacks does happen but generally speaking the chances are the person is a surfer and the shark confuses them as a prey so they bite and taste that isn't their chain of food and let it go. >IF< you're not doing any harm to the animal, he'll literally just pass you by and you can go on with your life. OF COURSE THERE IS EXCEPTIONS, that's why i've said "most of the time" and "generally speaking".

But mountain climbing and visiting snake island and riding at the edge of a mountain and deep see diving etc are situations where one puts themselves into willingly.
