This is a great start. I can't wait for humanity to embrace unity and stop hurting itself and the multitue of universes surrounding them.

I consider myself a Buddhist and I consider the buddha teaching a way of life not a religion so I really don't know what all the negative commotion is all about. I think he implemented the Buddha teaching very well to the boys. I don't support war in any way but those guys are out there fighting for our rights, religious freedom or whatever it maybe that they believe would change the world for the greater good of their people. We all are put in a difficult situation in life and to know that they can use the Buddha teaching to relieve some of their daily stress and stay focus and be mindful and not become a robot is great. I think these guys have a lot of responsibility on their shoulder and for some of you who claim to be Buddhist I would think you should be more compassion toward them. This is a world where violence, greed, and lust roam and we are always stuck in an icky situation. And I feel that the Buddha's discovery could be a Tool to help guide their path to a peaceful mind.

You cannot, as a Buddhist, be part of killing, or condone it. It is strictly forbidden. Shame on you.

I live in the west and have practiced Zen for awhile. There are many western people who practice that truly understand the teaching. However this is not Zen.

learning concentration is only one of the eightfold path, concentration without wisdom and compassion is only a tool to iprove a sense of self. Buddhism is about forgeting the self.

Right concentration is number 8 in the eightfold path of Buddhism.

@@gathgealaich2552 Yes, when Buddhists have abandoned the teachings. That is never to be condoned or excused.

It actually makes great sense and is an incredible tool for combating PTSD and the fatigue of war.
