    Very late but... this is the first thing I've crocheted in my life and it is going so fast and so well. I've never managed to finish a knitting project but I've already started on the back panel after 3 days!!! Your instructions are so, so clear and I honestly love the speed. I get annoyed and confused with most tutorials explaining the same thing eight ways. If I get confused I just rewind. Thank you so, so much I'm very excited to get to wear this sweater!

    This beautiful sweater has been a labour of love! I could not have completed without the written pattern. Makes me realise I crochet very loosely! However, I have persevered... My sweater has taken 2 balls!! of the yarn. It is heavy and thick and ... I LOVE IT! I cannot wait to adapt my next one to my loose crochet (I am UK size 16 - possible L to XL - but followed all instructions for the Small?). Next time, I will use a 6mm hook, but I do love how this sweater has turned out and I really enjoyed making... unhooking and re: making it x Thank you so much for your video - and the pattern x

    This sweater is GORGEOUS. I have watched through from beginning to end. Great tutorial. I have been crocheting for about 8 years. This is v. ambitious if it is a first project and even I will be using the cog wheel to slow down on ... urr... which stitch? etc. This is not a criticism, this video is fabulous. I have wool on order and cannot wait to start during our new 3 month lockdown in England xx Thank you x

    I am in LOVE with this pattern! I’ve been crocheting for about two years and surprisingly never made any type of clothing, so this will be the my first project. I have a question though, if I used a thinner yarn, would the hole be bigger in between the stitches? And if I used a thicker yarn, would the whole sweater be bigger? Thank you!

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  4 года назад

      Thank you so much! Yes, if you use the thinner yarn, but the same sized hook as in the video the gaps will be larger. If that's the look you're going for than go for it. If not than use a smaller hook to get the flowy-ness that you want. As for using the thick yarn, not necessarily. Since the video is using measurements you can make it to the size you need, it just may look a bit bulkier. 😊

    Omggg that's perfect ! I just bought a super cute bralette and I was thinking about crocheting a v neck sweater... I already crocheted one in the past, although it is a pretty simple one with pretty "loose" stitches which means there are "holes" and that's see through ( which is a style that I really enjoy just not what I was thinking of and what I was looking for ). Every other youtuber I saw made pretty simple not super interesting patterns ( not very interesting compared to what I wanted huh, cause I didn't want to say any mean thing ) which yours is simple but still added something with the straps ! Definitely what I wanted so thank you so much for that

      This pattern is worked off the collar, i'd say that this collar is a great size for everyone, but if you'd like a more oversized look the best way to get a wider sweater would be to add rows to the "shoulder' when you get there. 😊

    I didn't like the feel of such a wide neck, so I went back in and did a few more SC rows around the neck to bring it in a bit. Also, my sleeves turned out very tight, so I should have measured a bit longer for my armpit to shoulder. Overall it turned out to be a very nice sweater for me.

      Lexi Bleach the center point of the v I connected as my last decrease. The very next row began my increase back up to the next shoulder. This is a beautiful sweater. But I have been crocheting or 26 yearsand I do not think that I would be able to follow along but these directions. I've never seen one put together this way. So maybe that is why it looks very confusing. The measuring from the body portion to the shelter portion was somewhat confusing. I'm not saying your technique is bad or anything. I really do like how you showed how to measure from collarbone to collarbone to come up with a measurement for the neck opening. I'm going to apply that to making my grandbaby some things.

However, the front and back of the piece are different. How do i mirror what i did on the first half, so that both halfs have the same side on the front? I think i have to find a way to mirror the part under the armpit, but as this is my first time crocheting a sweater (ive only done small things like plushies), i have no idea how... Could you help me out? :)

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  3 года назад +1

      Of course, love! Just the clarify, you're asking about the 2 front panels? how to make those the same or the front and back panel?
      If it's the 2 front panels instead of cutting at the middle and do the same thing you can continue to do the same thing you were doing but with increases instead of decreases. Your work will slant, but that happens and will even out when seamed.
      If you're asking about the back it's done the same was a the video, just depends on which side you insert your hook into. one will show the first and the other back. I'm unsure which side is which for you, but you can always hold it up to the work and see which side shows. 😊 Hope this helps!

    I love this pattern and really wanted to make it, but you totally lost me at the shoulder chunk. First, I was unsure how wide to make the side piece. Should it go all the way to the back of your arm, or just halfway into the armpit? I then measured from the tip to my shoulder and came up with 3". I made the chain and from there, couldn't figure out what you did to make the shoulder chunk. Did you single crochet all the way down the side piece or just down the chunk portion? Multiple rows of single crochet or alternating rows of single and half double?

    • @TCDDIY
      @TCDDIY  5 лет назад +1

      Thank you! This pattern can be a little confusing. 😅 When measuring the side piece go from mid underarm to the front of your body.
