YOD's wordplay and how much thought he puts into each verse is so impressive. It's truly shocking that more people aren't paying attention to him, especially since the initial hype for him was pretty high (even if it was for sounding like someone else). His 4 projects this year could definitely total to a top 5 album of the year if you considered them all together.
I agree! He actually dropped 6 projects this year tho: (5 EP's) YOD Wave (2022) Yod Stewart (2022) Yodney Dangerfield (2022) The Yodfather (2022) The Shining (2022) (1 Full Project) Tha Wolf on Wall St. 2: The American Dream (with Tha God Fahim) (2022) Hope this helps :)
Love the review Professor, thank you. He actually had 5 EP's drop this year though. The one you missed, is the one we're most surprised about you missing because it's an entire Nicholas Craven produced EP. Check it out if you get time: Your Old Droog & Nicholas Craven - YOD Wave. It's so dang good & has Mach & Fahim on it, my personal favorite drop of his this year ("Lost Love" is incredible)! We appreciate you, have a great New year!
Great review professor, if you want debatably an even better representation of YOD embracing his culture you should check out his album Dump YOD: Krutoy Edition, it’s definitely one of my favourite projects from him.
I was quite surprised by you quoting at your dog haha xD Love and think I agree with your opinion of that being the scariest scene, and choked it being the album cover =O So this looks like it is your 777 video^^
If you love language, read A Clockwork Orange, the British release not the American release. William Burroughs said of it that it took the English language as far as possible without becoming incoherent. Anthony Burgess wrote the novel BTW
Now look boy, if your Dad goes gaga, you just use that... "Shin" of yours to call me and I'll come a running. But don't be reading my mind between four and five. That's Willy's time!
Wino Willy really showed out all over this project
PS: Rockness Monsta is Rock, who was 1/2 of the legendary Heltah Skeltah along with Sean P (RIP)

Sadhugold is a big Shinning fan and has an instrumental album called The Gold Room, some of his best work.

Skye, I would like to recommend the new MIKE album, Beware of The Monkey as I think you would like it and it would make a great review.
He's saying he needs a million for the "who" Aka he needs a million to do his ad-lib of "who?", like daltry got paid for the Who

i'm sure he's aware of anthony burgess lol. but yes it took like 30 pages before i started to piece together what things meant
Much as I love that book, Ulysses by James Joyce took the English language much further

Now look boy, if your Dad goes gaga, you just use that... "Shin" of yours to call me and I'll come a running. But don't be reading my mind between four and five. That's Willy's time!
