well smaller versions for streets can be made, but also with the snowing we had here last months the big one could do just fine. The main benefit is that it gets the snow from the sides into the middle and that it stores it in the container. Dependin on the stability and vibrations You can probably move along cars at 10cm away with it and don't risk to scratch them... Just thinking of the possibilities.
The idea is to use an agricultural beet harvester with an attachment to remove snow. That way they have something to use it for during the winter too. That said, I'd probably pick one that also had a sideways belt fed unloader on it as well, would be much quicker.
@odmcarp The front of the machine is chopping up the snow, and kind of pumping it to the center (underneath) then on the inside of the conveyor belt are 'shelves' or 'paddles' that are moving the snow from beneath the machine to the top. The augers on the top are dispersing the snow into the 'bed' of the machine. The machine can then move the snow, and dump it, elsewhere; if needed. In some areas you can't, or don't want, to just blow the snow to the side of the road . . .
+charlesgrave Seems kinda inefficient. I feel like it would make more sense for it to be pulled up underneath the cab and dropped into the hopper, like a combine does with corn or wheat. And it doesn't look like it could carry much snow up every quickly. I thought the same at first, but now I'm not sure
+Sam Schellhase They are using a modified sugarbeet harvester, the belts are normally used to transport the beets upwards after some belts underneath the machine rub and shake the dirt off them
First: Its a agricultural machine with snow gathering add-on. Its mainly made for harvesting stuff. Second: you cant always use snow-blowers as sometimes you have buildings all around or other stuff you don't want to cover. Third: I am interested to know the prices on these machines. I tried google but I find lots of sited with info on it but no prices. Can someone tell me the average price on one of those and if possible the optional components that go on the front for both snow and agriculture
If they're going to go thru all that why not just off-load onto a dump truck using a blower or a conveyer if you're all that concerned with snow being thrown. City near me uses a conveyor to load windrows onto a dumptruck for haulaway. Lots easier than this!
great idea but it would have to be off loaded somewhere that isnt a concern for flooding. all that snow melting at once would not be good in a small ditch like the one in the film plus it would cause a block of water flow.
@ziggenilsson Pushing to the side isnt always the best method, piles of snow can slip back onto the road and cause problems. also on the topic of the video that machines a converted vegetable harvester! haha
i fail to see the actual usefulness of this. every time you have to unload your entire blower has to leave the job go and dump. seems very time wasteful to me
Only in Europe lol. If your going to go through all the effort of loading it, then why not dump it a little further off the road? Besides that a snow blower with 2 trucks would get way more done than this thing.
Who has time to wait for this machine to work... NO ONE>.. its a FAIL... slow, slow slow... this unit should have a better dump... or even better, a flower then you dont have to fall off some cliff.. The work load is much to slow and there are better machines out there...
man solte mal die schnecke vor nen jaguar bauen und auf den flughäfen häckseln nen bischen anders =) one should build times the jaguar snail before NEN and the airports NEN little shred different =) english
Are Europeans trying to be inefficient? A simple tractor with a front mount blower would throw it in a field much simpler and cheaper than this slow ass machine.
Sir Mutton Chops Not sure where your from but where I'm from, Canada, where we actually get heavy snow they would spend weeks clearing it with something like this. We use much simpler methods that are much faster. There's a documentary about Montreal and the way they do it. Heavy snow fall is gone by 6am.
Step one - know what are you talking about Step two - brag about it That's a sugar beet harvester with another attachment... they're just using what they have in shed
only the attachment in front is a different one. so there is a double use. equipment does not have to be idle all winter. though the bunker is not all that big, well needs to offload more often.

C'est vraiment superbe !!!! J'adore

Love the music. What group is it? Want to look them up.
Yea, this thing would work great in a well populated area such as a city. That's what I was thinking too, people don't think before they post.
What is this song???? My son loves your video, I love the song:)
Why is it that people insist on posting what otherwise is a good video with really stupid music? Ruins the whole thing!
so there will be no copyright issues. and half the video will be without any sound. GEMA: check Wiki or yahoo what they are.

neat :D a snowbine
whats with the Commander in the beginning of the video? size referance?
@mae951 . . . (steep terrain, airport, parking lot, highway intersection, big city, environmental areas, just too much snow, etc.)
magnifique
sick coolest snow plow in the world
dont le groupe est cette musique?
hi are there retailers in sweden ??
Kjell
i gotta admit i thought the the same thing! :) but it actually is a jps megastar DB 75, it gan only pick up beets, not harvest them
cool ! very interesting
So how much snow can it store? I guess it has to stop to unload every 10 minutes.
What is the purpose of the belt thing that goes all the way around the truck? It doesn't seem to do anything? weird.
it brings the snow from the ground up the right side of the truck into the hopper and then the two augers move it into the hopper.

Be nice to have one to create trails in the field so we can get hay for the cows in the winter

I am interested to buy this or similar machine second hand if you have something to offer
Song Name????
What exactly is the point of string the snow if you can blow it away? :)

you are so right this is a big waste of time
Bonne idée

making a drift right at a guard rail, possibly a bridge. why not just send it. somebody got too much money
@ziggenilsson Pushing to the side isnt always the best method, piles of snow can slip back onto the road and cause problems. also on the topic of the video that machines a converted vegetable harvester! haha
oui
Music please!?
thumps down thanks to that awful music so glad there is a mute botton
trop fort l'engin !!!!
its a man machine
This not a Ropa beet harvester ! for sure not just look how its built and how many axles it has and you will find the answer
ça coûte combien ?
Pardon me, but if you're going to dump the snow in the field, why not just blow it out into the field with a blower or plow?
it is a beet harvester
That's a sugar beet harvest.... Tf....
cool machine creepy ass music man !!!!
thats sick
but WHY!!???
😲😲😲👍👍👍
All that hydraulics and just a little 2" high warning light
Harvesting snow I see :-)
cuz this is better
finns det återförsäljare i sverige!!
not exactly .... Ropa is a big cat Eurotiger and this machine is the Lion king !!
Na miniaturce myślałem ze to kombajn do buraków Ropa Tiger
Why collecting snow on the highway when you can just push it to the sides.
isn't that actually for potatoes? :D
Well, of course, but where's the fun in that?
mach das mal ihnn der stadt
good maschin
i fail to see the actual usefulness of this. every time you have to unload your entire blower has to leave the job go and dump. seems very time wasteful to me
OMG
Only in Europe lol. If your going to go through all the effort of loading it, then why not dump it a little further off the road? Besides that a snow blower with 2 trucks would get way more done than this thing.
Think they've ever heard of a snow- BLOWER
I once took a dump that big.
Wyglada troche jak Ropa
ne maschine zum Iglus bauen :-D
Why the crappy music, lets hear the machine.
wouldn't it be more efficient to just blow it... that thing has gotta fill up pretty quick.
A small Vohl snow blower can outperform this machine.
why not make it a snowblower? thats stupid
looks like a modified europa tiger
waist of time blow it and be done now I could see if they were melting it but they are not so JUNK!
Lot of farm vehicle haven't got seatbelts

Are Europeans trying to be inefficient? A simple tractor with a front mount blower would throw it in a field much simpler and cheaper than this slow ass machine.
It's so they can dump it where they choose. In areas with really heavy snow falls it can build up really quickly on the side of the road
Sir Mutton Chops

outdoorking69 This is in France. Here in Norway, like Canada, we get loads of snow so we do it much more efficient. We use snowblowers
Erik Stensvold
Yup, very powerful snow blowers that send it far. No need to dump it.
Step one - know what are you talking about
Step two - brag about it
That's a sugar beet harvester with another attachment... they're just using what they have in shed
Co dio
Potato harvester haha
Farmer Ash *sugerbeet
Very Slow machine
Che mezzo
lol isnt that thing for potatos and stuff like that ?^^
Indeed it is haha
lol

well at least it got one unlike a plow^^ looks cool
WTF
lol
What a stupid idea.....overbuilt piece of crap! Just use a snowblower and be done.
