Yes, Bishop Barron, one of the passages that I love in attending mass is during offertory at the mixing of blood and water of Jesus Christ, saying, "by the mystery of this water and wine, may we come to share in the divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ who humbled himself to share in our humanity". AMEN.
Jesus is the synthesis of the human and the divine. He is God coming to save us. His salvific nature is the CRUX of our blessed lord Jesus .. not just the moral teaching 🙏🏻♥️

Bishop Baron is a holy man of God anointed by God to proclaim the Gospel. May the Lord keep you and bless you in your mission. I am so much less gifted than you in both knowledge and ability to speak but I am urged by God to tell you something that will hurt. In your interview with Ben Shapiro you failed to "proclaim the Gospel " adequately to Ben because Ben was indifferent to your proclamation. When he asked you 'how about me as a Jew who doesn't accept Jesus. Am I okay'. You answered Yes when you should have answered NO. You left him feeling that he could be saved without accepting Jesus. May the Lord give you grace to overcome what appears to be "fear of the Jews".
Not so! I explained to him the official teaching of the Church, enshrined in Lumen Gentium, 16. A Jew "can" be saved by the grace of Christ operating mysteriously within his own Jewish tradition. This is not to say that he will definitely be saved or that we should be indifferent to evangelizing him. But I was answering his question, "As a Jew, am I basically screwed?" in line with the doctrine of Vatican II.
How do you see Tolstoy and Wittgensten? They seemed to have benefited from Jesus as teacher at a time the Orthodox Church in Russia was corrupt and the Catholic Church in Germany was weak.
