I'm really happy for Matt getting the success of joining Blink. He deserves it, he's a great musician, and live performer. I've seen him play live with Alkaline Trio almost ten times over the years

mojodevice28 Tom DeLonge sounds like shit live. Matt Skiba is excellent, always has been especially back in the Alkaline days, can't wait to see him with Blink live in July.
mojodevice28 Matt sounds on tune, is sober, plays the riff without trying to be extra flashy and fucking up half the riff in the process and the atmosphere on stage is 10 times better with him. If you disagree then you just can't get over the fact that Tom's days with Blink are over and that Matt outperforms him now.
This show looks like it was amazing! Hope to one day see Blink in such an intimate setting. Also loved how this proves that EVERY hardcore fan would take any other single/b side than All the small things at this point. It's essentially Blinks sweet child o mine!

Bryan Cole Yea, that was hella funny. The crowd was messing up too, like, this concert was awkward, GREAT! but awkward, which is kinda perfect and why I like it so much lol I love how they deviated from the set list too! lol Matt did really well in learning Carousel on the spot! lol

All these years I don't think I've seen an entire set of acoustic Blink. Works better than I thought it would have.
They have always written their songs mostly on acoustic first. I love it. I dream of seeing it myself some day. Sadly Tom decided to skip his blink/boxcar medley at my AvA show.

Paul van den Berg in San Diego blink played a secret show for free in 1999 before Enema of the State came out at a place called the empire club. They let the first 300 people in because that's all the place can hold. the place where they got their start (Soma) had closed and had record release shows for Cheshire Cat and Dude Ranch there.

This is a show that I wish I could have been at. I love Blink, but Alkaline Trio has always been my #1. I have seen both bands every time they have been in my area for 15+ years (yes, I am getting old, but I bet I got the stubs still here to prove....somewhere). All the Skiba haters and the people that say "Where's Tom?" can F-Off. Remember Blink tried to make it work with his ...well whatever the fuck he was doing attitude. I really doubt Matt was calling up Mark and Travis and saying "Hey dudes! can I join your band?" California in my opinion is Blink's best album, yeah it was over produced, yeah I still love all the other Blink albums, also probably a little studio help little by little as they came out over the years, and yeah I wish Tom was still in Blink 182 (mostly because I want more Alkaline Trio). I have seen Blink 182 twice now with Matt Skiba , 2nd just a few days ago. P.S. I think it's ok to retire All the small things (so many better songs, even better off of that album). Overall I think Matt is great in Blink, Mark is still the coolest, Travis is a prodigy. The 3 together look more into it, more excited when playing new Blink, and I feel the crowd too. I know I was. Thanks for the video, this would be a once in a lifetime show to see live, and thanks for reading part of my "Alkaline 182" or "Blink Trio" Manifesto, still deciding on the name ;)

I like Skiba in Alkaline Trio, I like Tom in both Blink and AVA, but I still hear the difference between Skiba in Blink and Tom and the difference between the songwriting in Blink before and after Tom…

Wow, Skiba actually butchered the rock show bridge so much he just had to stop playing part. Still good, but I wish they would play songs from +44, Blink with songs that are strictly or mostly mark, and the new album.
But are we going to ignore the fact Matt fucked up Dysentery Gary vocally? Marks smooth little part was ruined because Matt thought it was the “he’s a player...” part. Mark was singing and had to stop.
I guess it makes sense tho, cause this was 2016 and Matt was still pretty new to the band, so he was prolly still learning the songs

Great performers, zero chemistry. Part of my love for Blink was 100% personality on stage. If I just had this, I don’t know that I’d have ever been hooked on them, or that I’d play the guitar and sing.

I find it really disappointing (being a big fan n all) that in every acoustic set that they play; they don’t take the time 2 B super creative & turn these songs or @tleast 1! Into awesome acoustic renditions giving them a makeover. otherwise bring out Travis & those amps! Cuz these songs don’t really translate well 2 the acoustic.
On “I miss you” they def were not in tune w/each other, nails 2 a chalk board.
