    What you paid 9 eros for looks like a median sub sandwich in the US. A medium sub sandwish with tax costs me $8.64 with tax included where I live so the price you paid was about right. Excuse my typing please.

    Happy Christmas guys ❤ I'd absolutely pay €7 for those doughnuts. I need a trip to Galway. There's not a light up in Ennis yet!

    I find most of the food pretty underwhelming at the market. It's still fun to look around and enjoy the atmosphere at least. If the weathers not cold the beer tent is always nice for a quick visit as well.

      I really really liked those chicken tenders 😂
      Tent I think I will avoid to be honest, I just don’t like being in crowds like that.

    growing up in the 80's in ireland. i don't remember there being a christmas market. i just remember going to roches stores and moons (only time we ever went in they had a great santa. )corrky your irish accent was showing when your were talking about the sour sweets lol :-)

      I believe this is 14th year they organise this kind of market at the square. So not that old of a tradition.
      My Irish accent? 😂😂
      Nobody ever told me that yet!

    These markets are expensive in the U.S. also.

    • @Corrky
      @Corrky  10 дней назад

      I guess they would be anywhere. It’s that time of the year to leach people’s money out as much as possible :)

    Sounds like the chimney cake was not fresh? It should be piping hot out of that oven (or whatever it’s called). And yeah, it’s too expensive but since it’s the only place where you can get it in Galway, I’d still buy it 😅 because I do like it. But only freshly baked out of the oven! If it’s hanging around even for half an hour, I’d imagine it would start to get dry.

    • @Corrky
      @Corrky  13 дней назад +1

      I really don’t know how fresh was it. It’s just not for us I guess :)

      @@Corrky I’d say give it another try but in its country of origin if you ever go there ;) cheaper too!

  • @EvePlamenova

    the chimney cake looked really like a simple pastry that should not cost more than €2

    Nutella donuts are not appetising in my opinion. 7 euro too expensive. Chicken tenders does look better.

      @Corrky Feast of Immaculate Conception of Our Lady.
      The country people would come to town on that Holy Day, to shop. It marked the start of Christmas

      8th is a redneck thing , its the day they come into the big smoke to do their Christmas shopping
