After watching a UK channel do an unboxing of the Space Nk (similar price I think) I certainly don't think this is worth the money. In the Space Nk, there were full size A.Badder - Rich Cream, Olaplex hair product and I think a Dr B. Sturm cleanser. I could be getting a bit muddled up but I'm sure there are better value ones out there with more full sizes (or at least small not sample sizes). I do realise there are very lux brands in the Saks calender but it's still over priced...I get excited for beauty calendar unboxing season every year, partly because I can't afford most of them (full time carer to disabled child). However, I love luxury beauty products. So thanks to you and Alexandra Ryan, I get the excitement of watching you lovely ladies open them. Thank you so much for posting up enjoyable content. You make a worn out Mummy smile ❤

UK calendars are so much better you actually get full size products and a lot of the high end calenders have 30pkus products in them I think any calendar over $200/£200 should be band from putting sample sizes in there calendars and at least 50% or more should have to be full sizes

I think the US beauty market is a few years behind the UK. Here, we've come a long way from companies trying to market so many samples as items we would pay exorbitant prices for! Last year was Cult Beauty for me, this year possibly Selfridges or Space NK- containing mostly full sized products.

I think this is a rip-off. You are paying $225 to get samples/deluxe size. I am happy that I bought my beauty advent calendars from the UK. I highly recommend the space NK & Harrods

Yep, I also purchased Space NK, Harrods and Selfridges and I’m in the US. These US advents are not even comparable. Bloomingdale’s partners with SpaceNK…and has a SpaceNK section so you would think they would improve their advent…nope.

Like other posters have said… don’t buy advent calendars from American dept stores. They’re absolute trash. Charging for sample sizes is ridiculous. I’m in San Diego but I only buy advent calendars from the UK dept stores where you actually get full size luxury products. Cindy, love your reviews and I know you’re tied to the various SA’s and brand deals you have with these stores so you gotta do what you gotta do to secure the bag but go do a Space NK, Harrods, Liberty, Selfridges or Cult Beauty review already and deliver us from this American evil 😂 You can get all these samples from your SA’s or use the copious amount of promo codes out there without having to pony up $225.
The SpaceNK advent calendar is amazing…and free shipping at $50 and no tax…

The candles made me realize I’d actually love a fully candle/candle themed advent calendar. I adore candles in so many scents depending on the season/vibe plus they’re easy to regift if you don’t like the scent. I’m off to see if anyone makes one!

I follow Emmanuelle Alt; former editor in chief for Vogue Paris. She wore this blazer jacket that I loved and I found out it was a Balmain. I had to have one until I saw the price tag was $2695 at Neiman Marcus. I have bought Balmain’s advent calendar half off at Net-a-Porter; I love their hair mask. I love all their hair products so I am so happy that their sea salt spray is in the Saks Advent calendar. Who ever you gift that product to will be very happy you gave it to them.

111 skin is from a UK based plastic surgeon. Kevyn Aucoin died a number of years ago, but his brand is still around.

111Skin is a luxury brand, but the products you'll find in advent calendars and subscription boxes are produced in China, while their full-priced retail products are made in Europe. It's been suggested that the Made In China versions are cheaper and lower quality (similar to what high-end brands do with the products they put in outlet stores), but I've never seen a comparison.

The more I have seen high brands the more I see junk samples. They put a price on something that was given to them for samples for free.
Value of 560? These calendars always give an absurd value 😅. Seems to be full of samples which is I guess pretty normal with these calendars. I wish Day 25 was the Diptyque candle and not a votive size.

And as much as Sturn costs she should give potential customers plenty to sample before making the huge investment in her products (which I’d never do after seeing reviews from dermatologists).
