    How do you work your spoon? I’ve yet to catch a trout on a spoon :( all I do is a straight retrieve and once in awhile with a pause. I’ve used 2 gram spoons, 3.5g, and 5 gram spoons. I think I’ve only had a few chasers, but never a trout that has committed yet. I forgot to add that I use 4lb fluoro line for peace of mind that I won’t break off of a bigger trout

      Seems like you're doing everything right. The speed is the main variable. Slow down really sloooooow. Like you're gonna get snag slow. 2 grammers for shallows and the heavier ones for deeper waters. I also flutter. Lift , drop and pop your rod tip giving the spoon a flutter effect. Also change colors often. Seems like when I change they hit. Hope that helps.

      Absolutely awesome job fellas! 1.5 mph? The lost is probably due to the barbless hooks but you can always change them out. Have you guys tried sharp hard zip zag turns? They usually hit on the turns.

    I appreciate the information and techniques used at DV. Been following the trout plants at another east bay lake quarry without too much luck. I think there’s too much pressure at that lake. Are there a lot of spots at DV and would you suggest moving away from the crowds? Also picked up a elixir because of your vid’s. Tight lines.

    • @SuperDuperOutdoors
      @SuperDuperOutdoors  2 года назад +3

      Thank you bro. I go down the trails. Yea Bay Area fishing has become battle fishing. No skill sight jigging fishing in concert. Not for me. DV is getting like that. They come to DV right after they plant just like Quarry and line up and battle sight fish. Lol. Not sure why they like that kind of fishing. But to each their own.

      @@SuperDuperOutdoors thanks brotha. I appreciate the input. Yea, man it’s crazy and unsettling with the combat fishing. I like to go away from the crowds and try to find my own. Thanks for the sound advice. Maybe I see you out there one day. Goodluck and tight lights brotha.

    A lot of algae in that water but it looks like you had a great time! Do you notice any difference between regular guides and the spiral guides on your N-One? I'm wondering if the spiral has any observable effect or if it's just a gimmick for marketing. Getting into the BFS scene soon. Probably gonna get a sensilite then move up from there.

    • @SuperDuperOutdoors
      @SuperDuperOutdoors  2 года назад +1

      Yea bro. Typical water quality in the Bayarea small waters. Way better today because of all that early rain. I see the spiral guides at work when the rod bends. I think there may be something to it however small the difference is. Yea partly gimmicky but it performs and in the end thats the only thing that counts. The Senilite is a great choice in the US market. Just limited to the 2 grams and above. But it can turn big fish.
