Man, I fucking love this beautiful game. I'm currently still on my first playthrough and having so much fun with it. The interconnected levels and amount of shortcuts remind me of Dark Souls 1 in the best possible way. My favorite part is honestly the exploration. You always have so many options and areas you can access at the same time and each area has so many branching paths. The bosses, while relatively easy, are also great. Harrower Dervla/ Unbroken Promise is honestly almost on par with some of my favorite FromSoft fights. This game gets so much undeserved hate. Almost every time I see someone posting a comment about how much they like this game, there will be people telling them it's utter trash. I'm glad you seem to have enjoyed LOTF as much as me Lobos. I still remember you playing through the OG Lords of the Fallen back in the day. After playing FromSoft games for around 10 years by now, this is easily my favorite Soulslike not developed by FromSoft (although Salt and Sanctuary and Mortal Shell were lots of fun as well).
I swear this game seems to get better and better, the combat seems to smooth out quite a bit towards the mid to late game, as well as the insane variety of weapons, this could potentially be a surprise GOTY contender for some people.
They didn't balance it. The Iron Wayfarer's Hammer (35 weight) which has Strength only req and is S scaling in strength, has 3 sockets and accepts the 0 weight gem in the 3rd slot so once you get it to lvl8 it weighs 0 and then you can wear the heaviest armor with a hammer that does more damage then the sword of skin and tooth at medium load while carrying a bow and arrows or whatever else you want. That hammer did over 4000 damage on a plunge attack for me. The sword plunge attack is also obviously fixed now as well. I prefer the sword for the move set The lift, the sweepies and range personally but I wish it weighed 0 too.... lol.
You can still finish the exacters quest line at mother's lull he needs one more book umbral book located in the mines then he moves to the mines poison pool finished to get his set
The detail in the world is better than From soft does I feel. No other game in recent years, including ER has given me this much of a PROPER Dark Fantasy feeling. But yes they still cannot match From Soft when it comes to enemy, boss and combat design/feel. And that is fine. More Souls-likes with this much variety and quality is always welcome.
This was a pretty good souls-like. Kind of easy though. Tancred probably took me the most attempts, maybe like 12 or 15. Congregator of Flesh probably second. 1 shotted a handful of them, and others 2-3 attempts. Wasnt impressed with a lot of the boss fights sadly, but some were really good. Kind of wish we got to fight the lightreapers wyvern thing
man, I was having a good time playing put hours into the game then after getting all 4 beacons to spawn I for the life of me cant get the lightslayer to spawn so I think my game soft-locked or something I have tried going everywhere even got the seed and I just cant get to an ending.
Lobos about that stone lady in the swamp healing spell will free her next time I did the same thing you did killed her she's a NPC that will fight for you you probably don't need her you also have to pay her
everything looks so cool but i cant help but say the environments, while intricate and well designed, could be a little less homogenous. every area seems like a B rank area from elden ring. if it wasnt for that cool two world gimmick with umbral id say the actual art direction is pretty boring after the first hour. elden ring did it so well because not EVERYTHING is drab and spoopy, you need light AND shadows... not just shadows and even more shadowy shadows
On the right set with HDR, the game looks way better than what you’re seeing here on RUclips. Sometimes while playing, I’ll adjust brightness slightly and it’s much better.
Terrible platforming, enemy gank bs, invisinble unbalanced archers, and the non stop snipers and gotcha bullshit ruin what could be an amazing game. The mines are a perfect example of the worst parts of this game. I like DS2, but this is like Shrine Of Amana, times 300, and its awful.
Not that I hate it, its just frustrating for all the wrong reasons. IMO. Being shot from off screen 200 meters away isnt fun,nor fair. Fire level, The enemy that spawns the floating mines, agros from up a cliff, while youre under a bridge, so far away you cant even see her. Its absolutley ridiculous. No skill can have you kill an enemy up a mountain side, also while being spammed by 25 umbral zombies. Bosses too easy, everything else tedious. The original was more fun.@@LobosjrGaming
@@Ih8theleft-q8x The high enemy density is surely a frustrating downside to this game, especially when combined with rather low enemy variety as you see multiple copies of a previous boss just pasted somewhere else in a tight corner. However, you do have high damaging throwable options available for every single build in the game by which you absolutely can snipe enemies from so far out of their player sensibility range.

Beat the game today, it was pretty great overall. I'd give it an 8/10.

It would have to surpass Lies of P first, which it hasn't.
yeah i love fighting the same 5 reused mobs the deeper i get into the game truly gets better and better
@@shady21377you can appreciate one aspect of a game while still not liking others... like at what point in this comment was mob variety mentioned

With the update coming Thursday (26th) You can do different runs by just resetting the world.
Loved everything about this game except the final boss, I wish that was done better
Still a solid 8/10 or so for me

This game has alot of flaws. But alot of heart too. I gave it another go and found myself enjoying it more after some of the patches

Lobos we didnt get any Elden Ring DLC news at The Game Awards, say goodbye to good ol' leftie.

Yep lobos right game gets better as you play it just keep going when you going through hell
Lobos I was a slab before the big boss in the gorge on a pillar go get it you want
🙃 Hmm… game is way better than the first soulslike from 9 years ago. Incredible. Can’t believe it 🙃

There's different environments. It's meant to be all dark though.

I think the melted crown is a game of thrones Easter egg.
Did lobos not even finish the game? Damn it must be bad.
Combat looks floaty
The camera is really weird too
Looks weird but feels great once you actually play it
Looks are deceiving.
