It's actually amazing how unlucky that run was and Dex still reached wave 40. He had zero cursed hooks, zero Hunting Trophies, no Giant's Belt, no Greek Fire, no Black Flag. And he still managed to get that far with a character that has such an insanely huge negative.
@1TieDye1 if you consider the fact that in a character that has massive economic penalties he got basically zero economy items. It wasn't that lucky. Also the damage from the Life steal + Bloody hand ceased to matter really quickly with how much curse scales the HP of the enemies.

If lucky is seeing something against the odds, then I'd say unlucky is below the odds. Brotato actually doesn't have that many items for how many things you see in 40 waves, so seeing 0 copies of several items that are not red is insanely unlikely. But Luck is subjective. If you can crit a 1/16 like in Pokémon first hit, it's lucky. If the enemy dies no matter if you crit or not, it won't be considered lucky. Statistically it's the same thing
Dex, check out the new pity system for the fish hook curse mechanic. It says it increases the chance of cursing items if no locked item in the shop got cursed, until 1 or more got cursed and then it resets to the original chance. From my test, i think the chance is additive. Like if you have a hook, the first chance is 20%, then 40% and so on until something get cursed. I don't know about multiple hooks, the chance is increased by 2 hooks x 20% each time or flat only 20%. It's amazing

The amount of crates, tier three and four items/weapons, etc. Should try to put nothing into luck and see what happens, just making sure it's not just me having this happen. Also, the reason I think of them not having patched it, despite nobody likely knowing what I'm talking about is this: In the past, negative luck only worked to a set degree. It could give you more crates and rare items/weapons on accident in the past, FAR before Abyssal Terrors was released. The only difference after the DLC's update is that it seems to have made negative luck even more worth getting than normal luck with how much I've gotten in shops and crates as of late with said negative luck.
It would be a good balance for melee in the long running endless to have an item that works similarly to the tridents effect where it does bonus damage to cursed enemies. Otherwise, melee weapons will continue to be at a huge disadvantage in endless.
They should remove the negative harvesting from endless... too many stats are worthless in endless already. Lucky coin also gives the pearls alot of value. I would also like to see the tree into turrets item get 4 quantity and each time upgrades them, 2 for flame 3 or lazer and 4 for rocket.
Hey Dex, if you wana start a Run with the dextroyer, why not Find a mod that makes it so each weapon can be found in any rarity? This Way you can Start with a grey Dextroyer and can accually Find more in the shops. Maybe this could be the sollution to the too strong of a Starter weapon Problem.

I think it would be crazy hard early on but late game would get easier. 66% to level, 25% more materials, +10% on all stat gains, +100 luck and 2x luck scaling, and +50% enemies are HUGE bonuses, all collected together. Like absolutely massive The 2x enemy hp, speed, and damage are pretty similar to maxing out the difficulty sliders in game, except the speed slider only goes up to 150% and people complete that “mode” without any of the boosts. You can look up “brotato 182%” if you are curious about all that. I think it could definitely be fun though.
I don‘t know if it would be possible, but when you have 15 pearls or so (so a pretty good chance to get them out of crates) isn‘t that like an insane amount of money if you sell the pearls ecery time you get them out of a crate?
Assuming you can get to that point, I wonder if it's worth just always recycling the last pearl since doing so would make it so the last pearl is more likely to appear from a crate again thus giving you more money than otherwise
The bloody hand would have added 10 more LS meaning that it wouldn’t have swapped with life steal and probably with speed or melee which would have been better than LS
So the combo Lucky Coin + Pearls is broken right? you get (cursed) 4 Luck per Crit and then ( if you have all 20) 2 Dmg per Luck? so for a 9 Crit you get 72% DMG ? - 9Crit * 4 Luck = 36 | 20 pearls is 2DMG per Luck so 72. Please someone let me now where i did the math wrong, because that is Insane. and if you get the cursed barnacle that shit is really on fire
Focus on Fighting Sticks, ignore other items unless they are insanely good (like Coupon) but just make sure to get the XP bonus in. For the rest, make sure you have enough survivability, something like Jerky, Armor and HP. How much depends on how you play, how familiar you are with the game/character/weapons and what the upcoming wave(s) is/are
The hatched tentacle things are loot aliens, if you curse the loot alien item (usually 50%) you can guarantee a run fails with enemy projectiles from all of them spawning. But it's a LOT of experience and loot.

Lucky Coin doesn't work with Pearls since it doesn't count as permanent luck

Items like the pearl and other stats that transform stats only work with permanent stats sadly, so the Luck doesnt count

Mobile is kinda broken now. My endless run I have 39 bags and 25 loot aliens. Which appear on ever level. Wave 60ish.
