Dear Coach Lisa, there are no words to thank for your efforts to always be looking for new words, new expressions and even slang to help people, all over the world, to communicate better in English. My eternal gratitude!
This dude has been on your videos a few times before, right? He is nice and cool. He's helping other people improve their english which is completely appreciative.
Thanks Lisa, I'm 68. I knew maybe 2 of all the slang words in those videos. No family so no young people around. I am an American but I enjoy your videos. I wish someone like you would do this for French, Spanish, Italian, German and Hawaiian Pidgin. Blessings to you and yours.
I am a native English speaker from Canada, but been living in Brazil for many years...the only one I wouldn't understand would be "bye, Felicia"...all the others were pretty common and usual to me ( I live here but watch mostly American TV). I always teach slangs to my students and they love it. Using slangs is a GREAT way to connect with younger people.
Hi Lisa! Great video! I'm from Argentina and have heard most of the words but time goes by so fast that sometimes it's difficult to catch up with all the new slang words. Where I work at and American company and many people come from San Francisco to train us and they use the word "Ghost" as shadowing. So they explained us that they use this term when you need to learn from a peer's work, observe them in every day tasks.
The way English is taught is fantastic. We learn while having fun, listening to people's stories and native speakers talking. What I also like is the tips you give for improved pronunciation...Thanks
I have subscribed in this channel two days back really it's useful with clear explanation. I just wanna say you are great teacher. We hope some of the lessons would be written.

Thank you so much!!! It's really useful. I've been translating a book from Portuguese to English, written informally, with slangs and idioms that I'm struggling with. You are the best!! Kisses from Brazil

Native speaker of English here, forty-one years old, but fairly well-versed in modern slang for a person of my age because I'm online a lot. "Bye, Felicia!" wouldn't be a good expression to use when you are complimenting someone. Just thought I'd throw that out there. That's usually intended as the opposite of a compliment, like "I'm tired of dealing with you." Based on the heart react, I take it that the admin of this page knew you didn't mean any harm by it, though. :) Well done on the other two slang expressions you used! "You slayed it!" and "You are the GOAT!" are good ways to compliment someone or tell them that they did a good job.
I m using ... ghost, lit, good wibes....etc... Thanks for more modern slangs... You are a very nice teacher... I always like to listen you...n want to speak like you.
It is a good video for people in the Asia .we always would like to speak native English. This is a good video for us. Thank you. I always watch your YT. thank you Lisa.
Wow!! What a great, funny and usefull video lesson!! Thank you! I love and enjoy it very much! Do much more like this one please! And how friendly are the guys! What a wonderfull idea you had! Thanks you very much again!
Hi Lisa, it's funny to know that "shade" is not a really verb, sometimes i read the news about pop stars like Madonna or Poppy and other artists-singers, and media sometimes quotes on the internet "Katy Perry shaded Rihanna with her last outfit" and i didn't understand what was going on at first, but later, i don't remember if i looked it up on the dictionary or just understood the meaning, but i got the idea that it happens when somebody makes a "virtual" shadow over somebody, making her or him look at a "lower level", so i thought it as a real IDIOM, jejeje and now i see it's a slang. With the other one, "Chill", happened to me something similar, i AM used to LISTENING * to music while i work or study at home and put some channels of very different types of music, and there are some named "Chill out" music, i didn't know what it means, because i'm a musician but i had never heard or learnt that style before, but later i recognized it as a kind of happy and relaxing music for creating a comfortable atmosphere in the swimming pool, at holidays or a break , so i thought that meaning really existed , but now i see it's another slang or a very informal word. *I recognized that mistake with the am - ing grammar rule you explained on the other video of 11 common grammar mistakes, thank u very much for all the information and learning you give to us, i'm watching all your videos
Thank you for share this video lesson about slang words . I'm study English for along time but I don't still don't know a lot of slang words . I know only the common words .
This lesson is rather educating and developing indeed, especially in that many of the slang phrases have direct literal equivalents in my native language. That's the right way to get closer.
that Bye Felicia was one i heard sometime. It's great how Ms Mojsin provides all the best lessons. Personally my own language is spoken widely and so many dialects in the same country, so using slang is not the best in serious business or matters, but we need to grasp some, so we can undestand others ways of communicating.
