All I can say is surprise me !!
I wanna feel like I did as a little kid seeing Jurassic park in theaters! Freaked out of my mind!!
While horror elements are something I am always down for I think we may be on a slippery slope trying to hope for a darker jurassic. At the least I don't entirely want it to feel like some dinosaurs are going to be demonized in the film. Part of what makes jurassic park/world and well made dinosaur media in general is the ability to acknowledge and show that as animals they can be both frightening and beautiful and all kinds of ways. Considering Gareth Edwards was able to even put some emotion into the mutos with them crying over their destroyed eggs and them nuzzling eachother gareth Edwards will be able to show the softer or more curious sides to dinosaurs that make them feel like real animals you can learn from the actions on screen
I don't want a feeling of being terrified, I want the feeling of wonder, amazement and possibilities.

Easily the best Godzilla film from the Legendary franchise was the first outing Gareth directed.
If Jurassic World 4 is going to be a Dark film, it would probably be inspired by the original dark Jurassic Park books.
We shouldn't really have high expectations. It'll probably be disappointment like the last movie. All I want is "people stuck in one of those islands like camp Cretaceous and Jurassic park 3"
The only way to really make Jurassic World 4 be a Dark film is to start having Dinos drive humans towards extinction, but the only way to do that is to go completely into disbelief and make firearms completely ineffective against dinosaurs like in some B Rate Sci Fi channel made for TV movie. If they do that, however, that's all it'll be. A B-Rate movie.

For the “possible” Trex spinosaurus rematch I hope it will look and feel realistic and badass at the same time but I hope that the spino won’t get killed off and will simply just walk away after it lost and I hope the T rex will be depicted as a powerful badass like we have been wanting for awhile
my pessimistic side tells me it will predictably lame, such as spino whoops t-rex, and the rex is about to die, then second t-rex comes and they both double team Spino for the victory , etc etc. hope I'm wrong, but that's pretty much how every major fight in jurassic world went

It was darker than the rest though so they weren’t wrong and fear is a personal perception.

They said fallen kingdom had a very dark opening and you can't deny that. It had all the usual horror elements but one could argue that the end was more horror for kids. That scene of Masie hiding in bed with the Indoraptor creeping in had me on edge. They seemed to cut the really scary stuff out of the end though like her nanny's death.

I absolutely LOVE Peter Jackson's King Kong, so if this movie's really going for that kind of tone I'm all for it!

My daughter is 5 and has seen everything my wife and I watch. Including horror, jackass and sausage party. The fact is when she goes to school kids will have phones and access to everything. My daughter already has a very good real on real vs fake and is not disturbed.

I certainly hope they can nail that nerve-tingling and suspenseful tone. If Chaos Theory is able to be more terrifying than its animated predecessor and its recent live action counterparts, then Gareth Edwards' JW4 has a great opportunity and should rise to that level of suspense.
Jurassic World Dominion was a huge disappointment for me and it’s the reason why I took a long break from this franchise, but after seeing Chaos Theory and hearing about the new Jurassic movie, it’s slowly but surely pulling me back in. I’m actually excited for it.

The thing is a lot of Crichton's early works were recognised because it showcased the horrors of the natural world and it got diluted down with every entry into this franchise. Games like JP Survival and the surprisingly latest great entry to the Netflix animated show have catapulted it back into what the fans really want.

Im pretty sure jurassic world had the most blood in the series. Even above fallen kingdom even though an arm was ripped off.
The indominus escape its mouth was covered in blood, the guy who got mauled by one of the raptors telling Claire to drive away, and the final fight.

@@animezilla4486They would still cause destruction or disturbances to us and nature regardless. Why can't we have a movie about that? Fallen Kingdom and the Battle at Big Rock short were specifically building up to this being the plot of the third, only for it to become an after-thought in that.

I'm excited about Gareth Edwards, but i think it's better to be cautiously optimistic.
Currently reading Jurrasic Park and it made me realise that over time I feel like the Jurrasic movies have become a little commercialised. Hopefully they will become more gritty, bringing it back in line with the orginal story.

I am happy that the seventh Jurassic Park film is going back the original 3 films' darker elements since the Jurassic World trilogy's tone felt too different than the original 3 Jurassic Park films' tone (Jurassic World films are good though)

@@theterribleclaw4285 I'm not sure Colin had as much power as we think. Remember, his first movie was an independent movie and people think that he was the 'headmaster' of the JW trilogy? I still maintain that Spielberg partly directed the first JW.
@@rhedosaurus2251 Remember the first JW was actually just a re-imagined version of a original Jurassic Park 4 script made by Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver looking at them side by side they're very similar to one another if Collin created the first Jurassic World by himself it probably wouldn't have been just as bad as Dominion.
I want a series like Camp Cretaceous but live action and more mature. Some of the best moments of season 1 was seeing the kids run ins with the Indominus and seeing what she did outside of what the movie showed us. Like an anthology series of random people that were apart of each movie whether they were in the background or never seen due to the focus being on the main characters. I seen a video on RUclips of a found footage styled scene when Buck the Trex from lost world was roaming around the neighborhood and ate a random guy who was overly curious lol

With Gareth Edwards directing the film he is bound to create some hectic dinosaur encounters. Let's see if he can the Spinosaurus and Raptors as scary as the original trilogy.
I hope they have a sacrosuchus in the film, as a fakeout for the spino, and as audiences realize its just a sarco, BOOM, Spino jumps the sacro, lets the characters escape but hunts them down.

After the last couple movies, I was sketchy about a new one being made. But the moment I heard Garett Edward’s was involved i immediately became excited. Still a little nervous, but my hopes have gone up considerably
Jurassic Park and The Lost World set the atmosphere so beautifully, Gareth definitely has the work cut out for him to match that.
Dark films wise: do feel like the lost world & fallen kingdom are the darkest films . For fallen kingdom I believe they describe it as evolving from a disaster film to a dark sort of gothic horror film .
I was a little kid during Jurassic park, like I was four, sitting in the theater mesmerized by the first movie. My parents left the movie theater wondering if that was the best movie to take a little kid to, but instead of being traumatized, I became obsessed with dinosaurs.
my parents never really sheltered me from scary movies, and tbh I think it's a good thing for kids to get a little scared sometimes, you can't shelter them 24/7 so letting them experience fear while in a safe environment seems a lot healthier than just spoonfeeding them sunshine and rainbows all the time.

I’m really liking the direction this movie is going for! The Lost World: Jurassic Park always been a dark sequel to the original, I enjoyed Fallen Kingdom but it doesn’t have the same tone as The Lost World: Jurassic Park

The original trilogy of jurassic park are still some of my favorites of all time! The king kong film ( and game) were phenomenal. Also the original jurassic park used props as well a lot that added to that texture you spoke of. Which is why john carpenters "the thing" is also one of the GOAT of films because they opted for props so it aged fantasticly.
Hmm. What's the more interesting title that could work if not Jurassic World 4: Jurassic Survive, Jurassic Isle, Jurassic Hunt, Jurassic Legacy. Those are what I can think of.

I think people seem to forgot a very important element when it comes to the dinosaurs they were never supposed to be terrifying I understand it's supposed to be dangerous but not terrifying why is the point of the dinosaurs supposed to be respected as animals

The director was able to find a good balance of terror and awe in Godzilla. He was able to paint Godzilla as a being of inherent terror yet something to be amazed at. I’m still a little skeptical hearing that they are making a new movie, but after what I’ve heard my hopes are definitely higher

I live in Thailand and went to the location of filming here and can honestly say it's gonna be a new vibe for sure.
If this movie really is going back to its roots, then releasing this so soon after Locust World: Dominion is a mistake. I mean, 3 years after a bad movie AND risking tonal change? That sounds risky. If anything else, it should have come out at least 5 years later. 3 is just too soon.

Highly disagree. If anything that is the smartest move. And dinosaur horror/thriller is a great well of content. To think it is risky is laughable when the reason for jurassic parks surge of popularity initially wasn't only the effects but the horror and thrill of it all.

I'd like to see them start to get into the actual designs of the dino now. The last movie they said the dino didn't look how they should and basically said they were all modified. That BC movie that came a while ago went under the radar but had realistic sizes for the raptors. It'd be nice if they started to go into a story of how the modified dinos are reverting to their original looks and builds.

I had seen a leak somewhere that it’s a privately owned island (not ingen) with a dinosaur safari that has some of the ones that were auctioned off and also ones other companies cloned and sold. But it could be one of the other islands we haven’t seen yet.

It could be dark & scary, because of that director, but I don't think that Universal and/or the producers care about that.
They want this as stupid & boring as humanly possible, like the last 2 movies, which are fucking awfull.
I think the Trailer will give us something like that (remember AGE OF ULTRON), and then the endproduct will be nothing like that, except the spectacle.
1st 3 movies had some good horror, for PG-13, I mean. Spielberg knows how to do that, his "War of the Worlds" proved that as well. Even JP3 had nasty dinosaurs that were not joking around, those Raptors & the Spinosauros realy wanted them stupid characters dead.

@@erikmitchell4548 The thumbnail itself, it's a screenshot of the dinosaur he played with some minor editing to create the dark tone it has, hence DangerVille using it for a video regarding the tone of the upcoming film. The Gaming Beaver doesn't have that picture as a thumbnail for any of his 'The Isle' videos, but recently he posted a video debunking the tasmanian tiger and uses this image for reference when talking about editing. I'm mentioning it so you can see for yourself if you feel like doing so.
The fact that they said that we're getting wild Velociraptors back is what made my heart almost stop I missed them and I hate train Raptors I'm probably the only person who thinks Blue was the worst idea for the franchise wild Raptors are the reason why I was scared of them as a kid never once did I ever think that a Raptor would make a great pet!
The raptors tore people apart like never before in the first JW movie and the indo Raptor was a serial killer. The concept never left.😂

@@shangothunder1055 Robert Muldoon is a better Raptor expert than Grady will ever be why because Muldoon wouldn't go up to a wild Velociraptor and put his hand at it Owen on the other hand well let's just say if he ever did he wouldn't be able to tame Blue anymore with his hands because he won't have hands. And the only reason why that wouldn't happen is because the Director of the film wouldn't allow it because plot armor.

The part I like the most about Jurassic Park and the Jurassic World trilogy is the Dr. Wu villain arc and then the redemption.
im gonna need a complete reinvention of the t. rex. we've all heard "strongest jaw force" but we havent been shown it. i need an accurate t. rex. which means faster, stronger, alot more silent, can see from miles away, and most importantly: strongest jaw force. if an accurate t. rex was in jw2, she would not be able to get pushed over and if she were to bite indo rex's skull for barely any seconds, she would have crushed it. i dont need another t. rex getting pushed around in jw4 or getting saved by something else. WE NEED AN ACCURATE T. REX!

I even have all of the Jurassic Park world 🌍 movies I watch these movies a lot when I first saw Jurassic Park I was like wow I couldn’t believe it I even have and watch walking with dinosaurs 🦕 on dvd 📀 that’s a very well done tv 📺 series even when I was a little kid back in the 70’s my parents took me to the museum of natural history in NY city I loved ❤️dinosaurs then I still love ❤️ them now why God made them I’m still wondering that!

I really hope that in the movie, the characters go through the restricted area of the island because i’ve seen conspiracies that the titanaboa is in that area and i absolutely love that snake from the Cretaceous period but as well as that, i wanna see more scary dinosaurs and gory scenes ^^

ive been asking for this for a long time. its the reason the first JP was always the best. its was grounded and you could feel the terror. and side note, if they reimagine the spino into a more "accurate" modern day design... lit. either way. i just hope its good.
The movie should be like an atmosphere similar to the moment when rexy goes towards claire to defeat indominus rex, exactly like some eyes glowing into the dark at several moments of the movie or some horrific entries etc...
