Why is everyone saying they are playing patiently?
I mean yeah, there is patience involved but there is an absurd number of good reads here and Chun Li is effectively having to continually pressure Gief to prevent him from getting the ball rolling. And Gief is having to do a lot of defensive play because Chun is sitting on LVL3 half the time. Maybe big combos aren't occuring 24/7 but that doesn't mean nothing is happening.

Slow pace benefits Zangief but it's very tedious to keep it. So as always Zangief can't carry you, you have to carry Zangief...

According to the most recent data i have seen posted, it is a 53-47 in favor of Gief, so it is close.
Yeah it was kinda annoying how cautious they were playing, especially in the first game. That's just stalling and it makes the gameplay tedious to watch... it's not like its a tournament final.

I think headbutt into cLP is a new combo (maybe just more reliable instead of outright being new?) but I might be remembering wrong.
It's new, we got an extra frame of advantage on hit and block in the season 2 patch
It's a new one. A lot of Zangief's numbers got buffed and that has opened the door for new extensions.

@@Ghareeb236 Well, I would like to point out that Zangief here is also fighting in just his underwear and also there are characters from SF5 like Gill or Urien who also essentialy only wear loincloth during battle.
