Peter D'Souza lives in a small town in India. He is an idealistic and honest young man, and wants to serve his country by joining the army. He enlists in the army, and soon undergoes vigorous training under the hands of Major Chauhan. After the training, Peter and a group of commandos are assigned to combat terrorists who have hijacked a bus full of passengers. The commandos daringly rescue the passengers, however, Peter is gravelly wounded and loses his leg. He is honorably discharged from the army, and goes home to help his father run a small corner store. Subsequently, Major Chauhan receives an invitation to attend the marriage of Peter with his long-time girlfriend, Shirley, and accepts the invitation. Upon arrival in the town, Chauhan finds out that there is to be no marriage as Peter is dead. Chauhan is further shocked to find out that Peter's death was a homicide, as enraged gangsters who were unable to extort money from him, and decided to kill Peter. Chauhan now decides to avenge Peter's death, not realizing that he, himself, may not live to tell this tale.

Watched it when I was class 4, then 8, then 10th (2 times), during graduation and now while i am office goer. This movie will never get old, its an all time favourite.

Who says Indians can not make Classic Movies :) What a movie without SuperHero Action or Loud Background Music. It was the situation of the country in 80s and 90s. Movies are mirror of society and here you can see how was society/politics in 90s/80s. Straight Forward to the point movie and how 2 and half Hours go watching this movie :)

Such examples of tough & restrained masculinity are needed much more today in an age of increasing degeneracy where men are being taught to keep prostituting their inner life to the world.

Watched for the n th time. Probably one of the best movies ever made in Bollywood. Mr. Nana Patekar, request you to please come into full fledged direction. Found it far better than "An officer and a Gentleman" (personal view).

My Papa also completed his Commando Course from Belgaum in the year 1991 after completing his basic military course from the Officer's Training Academy, Chennai. Last year my Papa passed away due to a Brain Haemorrhage.

This movie is not one of the greatest movies I have seen in my life. Rather this movie is the best and number one movie I have seen in my life. I feel myself charged up after watching the movie. This movie is the best way to motivate yourself. Except when this movie was aired only on TV channels, no CD player shopkeepers kept it in their shops. I spent thousands of monies in the capital city of my country but I did not get the movie. Finally I buy a desktop computer just to record only this movie and record the movie through internal TV card. I consider myself privileged and express my sincere thanks and gratitude and humble respect to DRJ Records Play based RUclips Channel. The movie is very educational. I think till the day I die this movie will be the greatest movie I have seen in my life. The director of the movie, the producer and all the people involved in the production of the movie I can express my feelings if they ask for my personal opinion or interview. This film came when i was a kid. I could still remember that -While watching the Hollywood blockbuster "The terminator -2 the judgment day-- the trailer of this film aired in theatre during interval. It was a well known fact that Nana Patekar actually took commando training for this film ,
