Co-written by Steve Wariner with Bill Anderson. Steve Wariner is one of the most overlooked Country Artists ever, he's had so many great songs such as "What I Didn't Do", "A Woman Loves", "Lonely Women Make Good Lovers" and "Life's Highway". Then there is his most played song which a lot of people don't even know he sings it, it is "Brand New Life" which is the theme song to the TV show 'Who's The Boss". The song all started with Bill Anderson suggestion of the first line being "Two Teardrops Floating Down the River". It was written when he was finishing up an album so they turn this song out pretty quickly.
I had pretty much forgotten about this song. Haven't heard it in a long time. We have a Classic Country Station in the area. I haven't heard them play this before.
Thank you so much Mike for this wonderful request. I hadn't heard this one in a long time and it still resonates with me. Steve is an excellent artist and an all round good person, he should have been a bigger star. You can do more Steve any time! And Don I had the same experience with philosophy - I was in engineering and I had to take an arts course, and that's the one I picked. It completely surprised me in ways I never expected, and I'd say it was all for the good. Thanks for the great reaction and the highly deserved rating!
Good morning selection, thanks. The song was co-written by Steve and Bill Anderson. Steve released this song in '99 on his 'lwo Teardrops'. It reached #2 on the Billboard chart and #30 on the pop chart. Marking Steve's only cross over hit. It must be a Jersey thing 🙂 🙂 I can't get our morning DJ to pronounce Steve's last name correctly either ... LOL War-In-Ner Thanks for the reaction Don
Steve is one of the most underrated guitarist & singers out there!! He came along same time as Vince Gill who just eclipsed him!!! He just needed better management & material!!!! Everyone wanted him on the sessions for backup & guitar!!!
Skip Ewing was also a phenomenal Musician, and his voice was pretty much second to none. Talk about underrated talents. His songwriting is well acknowledged, but his singing and musicianship not nearly as much so. "Losing You Is New To Me" is one of the best songs you'll ever hear. Would be great to hear Don react to that one soon. As well as "I Don't Have Far To Fall". Just amazing.

Life's Highway is another great Steve Wariner song.
My favorite Steve Wariner song is "Some Fools Never Learn" I just LOVE the piano in that song....just listen to it again and its a guitar
Such a wonderful reaction. I have always liked Steve since he started performing. This is one of my all time favorties of his. :)
I'm glad you liked it! I find the creative minds that came up with certain songs to be dazzling! A song about two teardrops having a conversation!
Country tells the best stories.
Love this song, that's a 10
I always felt this song was a true masterpiece, right up there with He stopped loving her today and Steve delivers it perfectly
As the saying goes - opposites attract. Joy and Sadness you can't have one without the other.
