  • Come with me for a drive around some of the main streets around the central part of Dunedin City. You get to see what it is like to drive in the morning just part peak traffic time. The buildings are incredible with many buildings over 100 years old and the architecture very impressive. You never know, you may see someone you know if you live in Dunedin as well. I go through the new one way section in George Street as well.
I hope you enjoy this drive. If you do, and there is somewhere else you would like me to drive too, let me know in the comments below. Also any feedback is welcome.

When I move there I want to walk all around Dunedin. It’s been so long since I lived in a city (over a decade!!) but I always loved just walking all day and getting lost down random streets back when I lived in Nelson :D Having lived in a very small town down South for so long now, I am longing for the city 💚

Thanks for the video. Left Dunedin 25 years ago and am now in the UK. Tortuous route you took, but interesting. From what I could see, almost all of the retail shops I knew are now gone in Princes and George Streets, but I smiled when I saw that Weir's second hand shop is still there.

I was boorn a bred in Dunedin too, but now i live in the worlds biggest monster, cyberpunk city - Tokyo...I still love my hometown though, now more than before i left. I'm seeing it now through fresh eyes and it really is a gem. Tokyo has many faces and too much for anyone to see all of but it doesn't have anything like the charm Dunedin has...All the money in the world can't buy the soul of a town built by people that love it...

I remember Dunedin from back in the 60's when my ship, part of the Deep Freeze Expedition, was temporarily stationed there. It has changed so much that The main features I recognice is the landscape, not the city itself. I don't know if that's good or bad, just difeerent.

Nice to see my city I grew up in. Hope to return one day. NZ city councils seem hell bent on destroying the Main Street of every NZ town centre though. I find the random box at intersections with the cycle symbol quite funny too. 12:48.

I agree... it was better with easy flow through the city. I now call it the City of Roadworks. Some funny little things done over the years that are silly eg. the circles on the roads, they are fading now thankfully.
