The protests in the US were huge. I lived in Seattle at the time. Which had a much smaller population then than it does now. 50,000 people marched on I-5 and blocked traffic for hours. LA, NYC and DC were even bigger.
Saw the same thing in North America. None of the news channels showed the first day of the ICJ trial where South Africa laid out a very convincing argument showing genocidal intent together with picture, statements, bodies and other evidence. The next day, they broadcast Israelis reply. Which did not refute a single accusation but went on a atrocity complaint and mentioned Hamas 66 times. Clearly hard to defend the indefensible
John Stewart is the hero we need. It’s great to have prominent Jewish voices speak out like this and say NOT IN MY NAME. I’m only 25% Jewish, and I’m not prominent. But this evil needs to stop. #AntiZionismIsNotAntisemitism

She is one of the BEST reporters around, her humanity, tough questions, thoughtful commentary is invaluable. What an amazing moment to see these two brilliant minds discuss and share their thoughts and knowledge?

The protests against the Iraq war were HUGE. I saw this here in Europe on CNN Int'l.
A friend had just flown into Frankfurt from LAX, both airports carrying CNN. He was surprised at how much the protests were downplayed in the US.
He told me "we don't get this information in the States".
Same thing here

The protests in the US were huge. I lived in Seattle at the time. Which had a much smaller population then than it does now. 50,000 people marched on I-5 and blocked traffic for hours. LA, NYC and DC were even bigger.
@@missngfrombrooklynand nothing changed. Real democracy, the US.
NYC had 1million people protesting in the streets. It barely made the news.
Thank you Jon and Amanpour for the great work you are doing.

Amanpour lied and said that Israelis changing their prime minister is enough. That's a lie and she knows it. Israelis overall celebrate the genocide and their soldiers many crimes in Gaza. In fact since October 7th Israelis have killed hundreds of people in the West Bank and just agreed to annex even more land from Palestine. They have no intention of allowing Palestinian sovereignty and no plan on giving back the lands they've stolen. Stop believing her. She lied. People died. Jon Stewart should of called her out at that moment.

Very refreshing to see her character and to hear her expert opinion.
In just six months Israel has ensured several generations that will endeavour to pay them back.
this is what i keep coming back to. They are breeding those of which they hate
Gaza and many Arab nations already brainwash youth to hate all none Arabs, that’s why Oct 7 and 9/11 happened in the first place, their leaders rule on hate and fear of non Muslims and non Arabs.
However, if you listen to interviews that are done with children, such as those done by Bisan in Gaza, they still want normal things, home, family, to be able to celebrate holidays.....They still want to grow up to be doctors, or engineers, or dancers. I have been paying attention to this issue and Palestinians' living in such a weird, locked down situation, yet still managing to make lives for themselves amidst the privation. Around half their population is under 18. If these kids can get healing and hope, then maybe this can be turned around. But it takes the "adults" to act as such, and sit down at the table to talk.
@@Erik-tu3rw Palestinians are Not Arabs. Just because they speak an Arab dialect does not make them Arab anymore than an American is English because they speak English.

Bibi propped up hammas for years and now he’s going to eliminate them. Sure.
Exactly, propped up, funded them, and repeatedly stated that "Jamas is Israel's greatest asset!" People are so selective in their attention and knowledge when they want to complain about Jamas.
He propped them up for this purpose. The idea behind propping up Hamas was to make people think that all Palestinians supported Hamas. If people believe that, then what is being done in Gaza can be justified (including the settler encroachment and Jared's Kushner's resort "idea"). Don't forget that he is fighting for political relevancy. There are many in his camp that feel the elimination of Hamas will allow him to win reelection and avoid prosecution.
