was this a pain to do? looks like a lot of parts can break lol. I have to get a new heater control assembly anyways so I might just wait to do this until I can get both parts.
It sure does. I spent an hour trying to get it to work with the groove lined up as shown in video, but it won't work properly. Center the cable groove inside the white clip; there a corresponding indexing feature on the black section, then push the clip in.
My heater core valve is completely stuck and just ends up bending the wire in the blue sleeve when I try to adjust it, so I unhooked it from the heater control valve in the engine bay. For some reason the temperature knob still switches between hot and cool. I’m pretty confused about why it’s still working.
Take a small bolt drill a whole in it put it into the bracket then a nut run nut up but not so tight the bolt wont turn then poke the cable threw the hole and put other nut on and tighten two nuts together problem solved
Thanks for this video, super helpful. Would've broken the white cable clip if not for this.
Good job, thank you, it really helps us.

doesn't the groove in the blue cable go inside the white clip?
You are correct. The clip will not attach properly on both tabs unless the groove is seated directly in the middle of the clip.

Great video...Thanks.
Huge help, thanks
Where do I get the part?
