What an excellent presenter. Just stumbled across this in my slightly aimless search for a second bike in the garage and this is one of the most articulate and informative reviews I’ve seen. Believe me I’ve seen a lot recently. A level headed pitch and no histrionics - damn I might even have to subscribe!
sorry man but the older version is better because of the weight you don't need all of that suspension unless you're going over huge logs and rocks and if that is your purpose you're better off with getting a 4x4 defender rather than a bike. light and nimble is the trick with bikes not tall and heavy. but sense you're tall yourself off course the bike would feel much better for u.
Lets be honest.. most of the scrambler owners dont go off-road its like how range rover owner dont go off-road but they like to have the confidence of if that need may arise they can do it. Just like with the desert sled .. it u need to cross a log. You can.. not like you have to... But if u want to you can
So you know NOTHING about ADV bikes then, this Ducati is way lighter than most of them and quite capable in the dirt, more so than a lot of ADV bikes, they've even been desert raced over 400 miles and WON, with only a change of wheels {18 and 21 inch}, don't need all that suspension ....! Totally clueless comment considering there's a pile of other model Ducati scramblers for everyone else...

Too heavy for the engine.
