"Where are the maypuls in top 8" They've been in most local regional/major top 8s. Maypul is insanely good. Pretty much the same as rivals 1 but execution is even easier. I also came from melee/PM and rivals players can be rather dumb at times so I definitely don't look down on smash players LOL. Ult players are picking up this game a lot surprisingly. A good 65% of my local scene are ultimate refugees.
How do I deal with maypul low profiling all my moves? Also her dash attach is lightning fast, I've never seen a characters neutral have so many dash attacks
As a longtime RoA 1 player, i think smash pros will surpass just about every beta player within a month. This game shares more in common with smash than rivals 1
thankfully players at my ssbu weekly are all down for rivals 2 and i think we're gonna start doing side brackets! more ult players should get into this game, its really gooooood
Zetterburn stock looking worse and worse when you consider what DLC has in store for us. Being a character with a bad recovery sucks now, but just wait until they add Etalus, Elliana, & Absa.
that's not really something you can control lol. Also slippi is incredible. there are legit more resources available for new melee players than new rivals players
So unbelievably untrue The only things you can say about that are ledges and shields being added. Maybe the 3D art, but even that has a bunch of things absent from Smash like showing DI and crouch cancelling etc. But you still have mostly the same characters with the same or even wackier and more rivals-y movesets (special pummel and get up etc add to this and aren't in smash), all the fun unique mechanics from rivals 1 (hit falling, cancelling out of specials for crazy movement, parrying being really important, insane ways to change the terrain, weird moonwalk applications) and extremely similar movement flow I am baffled that I keep seeing this half baked narrative that rivals 2 has flattened its identity into a smash clone. The only things they changed were things that make the game deeper, and they doubled down on everything that made rivals special.

@@tidalwafflesplay grounded and use more tilts. And definitely get better at parrying and grabbing out of shield to deal with maypul dash attack
