My "quick + easy" sewing project that turned into 3 days work - slowly gets more chaotic STUDIO VLOG

We're all about function over form right?
Hope so, because I was hoping to make a simple freemotion quilted mat for my sewing machine to sit on; an easy, freehand machine sewn mini quilt.
A little warm up project before I got cracking with some actual work turned out to be a 3 day project and the end result ain't exactly a work of art 😅
Turns out I'm just not a neat sewist, so I'm going back to freemotion art, where I belong.

That’s a pretty little thing! 👍🏻 That free motion presser foot isn’t really helpful when straight stitching. Also feed dogs are down when free form stitching, but up when straight stitching. If you try this all out your arms (and projects) will be so happy, but please don’t forget your lovely Freeform stitching!!!! ❤

I don’t have a straight stitching foot for this machine so tend to just freehand everything 😅 it’s not often I do any straight lines so I can usually get away with it!
You’re right about the feed dogs though I should have thought about that. Just used to always having the same settings all the time!
