- Another rarity, and I apologize for the quality from the get go. This was a #33 hit for the 18-year-old Cato back in 1974. She landed one more top 40 in 1975 before she faded out in the late 70's. Enjoy!

Love this, I feel she was way ahead of her time...but I appreciate hearing her now!
I went to see Connie Cato at a club in Milwaukee. She was very down to earth & friendly. I hear Connie got a standing ovation on the Grand Ole OPRY and was really entertaing the audience.
One most gorgeous angel to listening to and I love it
I'm surprised that they don't play her on classic country stations around here this is good stuff
Thank God for RUclips and folks like Wilbur that post these country greats.
Awesome
I've always loved this song, since before I understood what it said
Truly a one hit wonder by connie this is from 1973 capitol records
I have both songs on my hard drive.
when this song came out it was on radio and juke boxes then they claimed it was to sexiest and baned it from radio and removed it from juke boxes, i loved this song and played it in every truck stop untill it was removed i just typed it in one day and here it was man thanks for posting it, it's a great song.
Years ago, I drove for Yellow Cab in Raleigh and picked her up to go to the emergency room.
Oh, hell...like the first comment, I hadn't heard this for years until I found a couple of versions here...thanks for posting this rarity! Cute song..lol
I remember her very well. I sang a couple shows with her back in the day. she was so cute and gracious and so funny. I so enjoyed those times. This song was really big in Michigan at the time and she and I performed in this amazement park on an island that is no longer there. It was called bob-lo. those were the days. of course I was just a young kid starting in the music business.
Island is called Bois Blanc. It’s still there, but not the park!
That's great!
For some reason I woke up a couple of days ago with this song running through my head. Gotta stop the late night runs to Taco Bell I guess.
great song and great hairdo or wig she has on her head
Excellent.
This is a recording masterpiece. What a great vocalist she is! I just don't quite remember her. I was raised on C&W and Rock 'n' Roll! She sounds a tad bit like Dolly Parton. Have been trying to find this great record on the internet so I can download it to my music files. Thank you for sharing this fantastic song!
She kinda looks like Dolly too based on this album cover. Connie also scored with a cover of the oldie "Hurt" which was also released by Elvis Presley around the same time. Kinda hard to compete with Elvis though.
Loved her…not literally
Damn I haven't heard this song since before her and my uncle got divorced
I have searched for Hurt ans Superskirt by Miss Connie Cato. I need info where I can purchase both songs on a cd
@Mark M. Oldridge I started searching for this song as of August 2, 2020! I've had no luck either! There is a site called Tune-In, but they want you to become a member to even look at the lyrics for this song. And they only accept PayPal, which I do not have nor do I want! What a rip-off!
@Mark M. Oldridge Yes it would be great to have it on CD especially if it is taken from the Original Stereo Master Studio Tapes. Glad you looked that site up, it's so good to hear someone else think what I think. It sure seems "scammy" that's for sure. I have even tried to find it on MYFREEMP3, which is a fantastic site and you can download their music for free! But, I can't find Connie Cato on that site either! Guess all we can do is keep searching. Thanks and stay safe!
She sounds like Dolly Parton.
OH OH SHE COULD BE DARLIN GRAHAM BUT NEVER JUST NEVER❤️❤️❤️NOT ME‼️
im gonna out with her
This couldn’t done be recorded nowadays. The Omabatards would condemn it as political incorrect!
"Wagging her body"-LOL! The song is a classic for that line alone.
@@walterhaight5382 LOL is right. I can just visualize her wagging her body...I think it's a clever lyric!
