    I have viewed countless videos regarding printing onto ... whatever. This is the best, not only because of the range of the methods discuss (although greater detail of each can be found elsewhere) but, primarily, you spoke directly about the business side of it in the most detail of anyone on the web. Really well done. I hope those dreaming about getting into this business paid close attention to your advice.

    You nailed it on this one. Too many options means too many headaches!!! Love your No Holds Barred approach. Some people jump in way too fast and crash hard. I love to hear your take on blank shirts and suppliers. We only use Bella Canvas, Anvil, and American Apparel. Plenty of options with these 3. Great job

    I have two GTX printers in my shop back in Barcelona and I freaking love those machines, it allows me to do so much.
    However, as I'm stuck in Canada right now, I'm looking at going the supacolors + heat press route just to keep design and sales going while I'm in Canada.

    Started watching your videos last month. Great advice and content 💯👍 Narrowing down and limiting “available” colors was huge for me. You think it helps because you offer more options to the customers but in reality it just causes analysis paralysis and no decision is ever made...which is bad if we’re trying to sell them a shirt 😂

I think it's faster and better for testing out how a design will look on garment (especially if it's multicolour) before ordering a large quantity of higher quality transfers.

    Great advice Rich. The many option thing you talked about is common in many segments of industry...you mention it in another video, your battle with time kicks in when you implement the 'many options' mode of work...you only have so much time in a day so what is it you want to accomplish. I'll take pressing ordered shirt if I have them over learning a new thing that might not sell....great video thanks again for sharing!

I was able to purchase the Hotronix Air Fusion used for a great price. I figured I would stick to Adult Tees (3 - 4 Colors) with custom designs both single color and full color. I will probably stick to making Dye Sub Mugs with my Business Logo to give to my Customers that order a certain quantity as well as package deal with the customer Tee Shirt design. Nah bro you were right, take it from a sublimation guy who veered off into embroidery I was doing pretty good making some money but trying to keep it consistent with tension and all kinds other material problems paying the ass sold it...should I say dumped it for $1000.
    So yeah I got a big print library but I'm so limited in my light to white polyester thing you know what I mean..
    So I'm glad I listen to you I was going to DTG but I've never been sold on the white lead ink issue clogging the printouts....
    But now that I'm retiring I want to jump into it got a couple jobs in the works one for 30 shirts one for 40 shirts and I'm almost out of ink but I got the prints done so I'm at that point.so I like what I hear from you. I believe I'm good to go thinking the 600 but I'm hoping you touch bases on some of the better print paper to give me that Matt soft look... i'm not sure you look like an islander I'm having a retirement party in Honolulu July 12 to July 16 if that's where you live let's hook up let me check your stuff out, cool

  • @VIRTUALION
    @VIRTUALION 3 года назад

    What about the DTS (DirecttoScreen) printing machine called (GoccoPro QS-2536). You only need to stretch the screen, put it in the machine and it burns the image directly to the screen in High quality close to DTG image.
    No need of dark room, no emulsion, no water gun, no exposure or films negative, no pretreat, no expensive ink cartridges and no cleanup.
    And since DTS is screen printing, you can do Large orders and not one-offs like DTG.
    It's basically an hybrid machine that uses the Pros of both sides without the Cons.
    Despite all that, my question is:
    Should I Go for Traditional Screen Printing and work my way to DTS or just stay Traditional???

    Please make a video on the different types of A-B paper for white toner transfers. I’m thinking of buying one for my next purchase to expand my business. Your videos are very helpful man. Keep it up. I’m like you, I started off buying a Epson DTG f2000. I had it less than 6 months before I ended up selling it. Way too expensive and high maintenance. Most of my ink was used for cleaning instead of printing. Don’t even get me started on the pre treatment, $5000 for that machine.

    The "Jack of all trades" talk is so true. I learned this in my early 20s in different workplaces. The ones who tried to make things work taking on the responsibilities of 2-3 different positions were usually the most frustrated workers. I remember them not being happy, super stressed, and end up quitting sooner or later...
    I started cutting/pressing HTV since 2014 and feel like i've mastered it. Now I want to stop outsourcing for full color prints and do it myself. Any suggestions?

    My main problem is figuring out why it is so hard to get a decent printer that can print white toners. Man i dont want to spend 5000 and then not get any sales.

    • @HustleNinjas
      @HustleNinjas  4 года назад +2

      Go with a cheaper print method first, build sales, then invest in a white toner printer later.

      @@vanateecustomprints6399 I would advise you to go this route. That's how I started! I started with print on demand. Than I bought my first heat press with plastisol transfers. I upgraded the press. I added a vinyl cutter later, than I added a cap press. Furthermore I bought a Sawgrass to get into sublimation and my latest upgrade is a Adkins swing away heat press to start with white toner. I don't have the Uninet icolor yet, but I have started with a regular black and white toner printer & using uninets presto paper. This paper is white toner in 1 solid color (white, or gold for example) and in combination with my Adkins swing away I can do very detailed designs & print on demand way easier than the vinyl cutter. I'm planning purchasing the icolor 600 when I have the budget

      @@leonmakest-shirts Hey Leon, Thanks for your advice. I am actually doing print on demand already, I dont have any customers yet but hopefully because I am still building the website. I got a pretty nice heat press I'd say,
      I'm not sure what you are advising me to do with the plastisol transfers.??? Also I've never heard of black and white toner printer, can you tell me which one you use ? I also dont understand about the paper either so let me look that up today.

      @@vanateecustomprints6399 you can order plastisol transfers of your designs from various places on the internet or possibly local screen printing shops. It's pretty much they screen print your design on transfer paper and you heat press it onto the shirts. I have had no luck in decent pricing for small orders with a good amount of colors. But depends on what you're trying to do. A couple of colors and 50+ transfers maybe more affordable in the beginning than a white toner printer. It all depends.

    Question: watching some of your videos you have said you use or used amazon, etsy, etc. For selling. How do you go about operating on multiple platforms when it comes to taxes? Are you lumping it all into one llc or how does that work?
