    Watched Eddie's behind the scenes video of the event. He interviewed Oleksii directly after; he still had bits of atlas stone stuck to his palms. The fifth stone was literally crumbling away, which is why he couldn't grip it properly. Hell of a reason to lose the whole event, but that's strongman for you, it aint the Olympics and it aint powerlifting, you gotta work with the implements.

      its only because of the height disadvantage. Novikov is not as tall as the other Ukrainian guy and that was the difference. If you are tall you have longer arms which is a huge advantage and also the platforms are quite high. If you are small you cant win in the stone event. That's why Shaw and Bjronsson where that good stone lifters because they are so tall. But Kordiyaka is a deserved winner. It's really amazing that he has that much power because he seems to be not as heavy as the other guys and he kind of came out of nowhere. He looks more than 10 years older like all strongman but he's thinner than the other guys..or less fat...

    If they're going to make atlas stones so important in big strongman comps there needs to be some kind of standardization where we aren't seeing the timing/choice of a variable sticky substance have such a huge affect on outcomes.

    Giants live need an influx of money, the RUclips page honestly is repetitive and the dates are off, also the show needs to be modernized a bit and the staff needs to be more mixed with people from all around, it's a bit too British if you ask me, Arnold is kinda beating you guys with the innovation, if you got a big sponsor maybe Red bull that would be amazing

    • @Marcel16DM
      @Marcel16DM Год назад +1

      The staff are all volunteers, that's why they're mostly British. And if you think they need money, pay for the shows and merch and then tell a friend to do the same. That's how a business grows. Can't just expect big businesses to sponsor such a small sport.

    • @petershortland478
      @petershortland478 Год назад +1

      Do realise it's easy for the Arnold's because they run their event with the expo, where as GL hire a venue for a certain amount of time. It's not as simple as you think, but also, GL is a faster paced show than Arnold's, I get so bored sometimes watching the Arnold's due to long an event can take, like Stone Throw that took way too long I was so bored I turned it off

    • @danilostrunjas9873
      @danilostrunjas9873 Год назад

      I'm just surprised that the sport is not getting sponsorships based on the RUclips viewings they are not that small of a sport

    • @Marcel16DM
      @Marcel16DM Год назад

      @Danilo strunjas you must not be a sports person. Strongman is an extremely small sport when compared to Soccer, Football, Baseball, Basketball, even Golf or Tennis. And their youtube numbers ain't that great.
