my first show as well! The things that stood out to me were obviously trevors bass bombs which i never understand until seeing goose live. Also, watching Jeff in person during Silver Rising was amazing. Rick playing the new guitar was super exciting as well, that thing is huge compared to his old one. Cherry on top was the Phishy vibe the band performed that night with the new setup. I couldn';t be more excited to see where the band goes from here! Oh, and i will never miss a warfield show again, atmosphere was unreal.
Was at this epic show last night. Phil Lesh was in the balcony above me . He looked perplexed the entire time. We are all blown away by how good these guys are
When you are as old as Phil you always look perplexed. I'm getting there myself. Didn't know Phil was there, I was about halfway up the balcony pretty much in the middle, great show.
K - it’s official…Thatch is peak Goose! If anyone is looking for their first taste of what all this fuss is about - I’m pointing them towards Thatch. This sums it up perfectly.
Man I wish bandcamp had a comments section. Just here to say that Jeff looks like a grumpy three-eyed unicorn on that thumb for the sylvee show. Good job whomever snapped that one, it brings me joy
WARNING: DO NOT LISTEN TO THATCH if you are driving or near slippery surfaces. This song slaps so hard you need to be planted firmly on solid, dry ground or risk injury and even death. First time I heard this song I was in the shower and nearly slipped and broke my neck I was grooving so hard. Yesterday I was bobbing my head uncontrollably while driving and nearly drove off the road. PLEASE USE CAUTION!!!

The new shrill has been there before the new guitar IMO, seems like his tone got crunchier over the past month or so. Agreed though, lay off the crunch
This sounds like a flat Black Eyed Katy headed nowhere. And if you vehemently say it’s not, you’re just lying to yourself. This music was played for the first time more than 25 years ago. And this neither extrapolates on that nor improves it. If anything it enfeebles it.
If only phish could have kept that energy. Instead trey set the bar so high early on with his playing he couldnt continue. But your opinion matters so much I’m sure this band will call it quits now and you can keep thinking phish is at the top of their game still.
I swear, there's always one in every crowd. These guys are young and just getting tight. If you listen to a show from a year ago, they've improved dramatically and it's only going to get better. This is similar to Phish in 91-92. The more they played live, the better they got.
Thatch has easily become my favorite song by them. What a freaking jam, this was an instant click
For sure
This was my first ever show. They really did lay a golden egg with this one

The new guitarr!!!
The stage lighting has been next level on this tour. Thatch rocks
MORE FULL STAGE SHOTS FOR THE STREAMS PLEASE! So we can see the lights
When Phil Lesh is coming to watch your shows, you are probably doing something right.
Great taste, Lesh filling
Lesh IS More!
When Phil Lesh has you play in his band you know you’re doing something right
Yep check out Rick with Phil & friends.

Bring the funk, what a jam.

I gotta see these guys !
this song's so cool thanks for posting
They were definitely in the pocket here.. sounding awesome
david like Thatch. thank you.
Nice !
Yeah bud!
how's rick liking the new guitar? the finish and f-holes are so pretty!
LAYING IT DOWN BROTHERS !!!!!
From what I can gather, Rick's playing a new custom DeLuis guitar. Muuch richer and warmer tones than his PRS. Interested to see where this takes him.
Thanks for that, I was really scratching my head wondering what he was playing, I agree a slightly fatter tone.
Trey needs to put the 19:30 mark on loop and review ho to segue back into a song from the jam. Phenomenal.
Blasphemy
damn that was a cooker
So tasty!
Post the Drive Jive

My love for thee
Under that sea
I’m definitely
Gonna turn my
Gonna pick at my lock
Gonna change my key
Gonna cast your spell
In an economy sea
Gonna turn it up some
Gonna turn it up some
Gonna take the bait
Sitting on my tongue
Gonna find a new hill
Gonna pick up my feet
Gonna turn my step to the light through the trees
My love for thee
Under that sea
I’m definitely
Gonna turn my
Pick it from a tall tree
Gonna find my deep well
What the bird don’t sing
The bird don’t tell
Is it all a vision
Is it all a vision
Can I raise it all
Can I have some fun
Can I take it up slow
Run it up like hell
Can I find out what’s at the bottom of the well
My love for thee
Under that sea
I’m definitely
Gonna turn my
Keep on making it fit
Like a permanent stitch
Is it on your lip
Does it weigh on it
Is it a little bit fucked
Does the rung come loose
Did you change your mind
Or did it change you
Better turn it up some
Better turn it up some
Better take that hill grab the flag and run
My love for thee
Under that sea
I’m definitely
Gonna turn my
My love for thee
Under that sea
I’m definitely
Gonna turn 🏝️
The first line is "Milo believe"
Jesus Christ!!!
Rick, please go back to the PRS, this new axe is shrill city 😖
Plz, tell us more
i thought it sounded great, a little smoother and more mids than the PRS
Don't like the sound at all. He had a very unique sound and the new setup sounds like any Joe.
The new shrill has been there before the new guitar IMO, seems like his tone got crunchier over the past month or so. Agreed though, lay off the crunch
@@HunterPeaseMusic I saw them in Birmingham on 4/2/23 and shrill was not there so it must have been just after that.
