- All the horses at Stal G, there are too many to film all and share it with you. For now I only share our 'own' horses so that I can perhaps have some time for myself? I'm too busy. There isn't a minute that I don't do anything. Editing in particular takes me a lot of time. Do you know how I can change? Let me know in a comment.

My name is Yvonne. I create and post videos about my daily life with Friesian Horses. I will show you the true Friesian Horse and what they are like: day to day care, training, riding dressage and the very special birthing of foals. I explain the facts about breeding Friesian Horses and the steps I take to help better the breed.

As a retired neurology nurse, a retired breeder of Quarter horses, and a victim of physical injuries, I know both the joy and stress of dealing with these beautiful creatures. But it is so necessary to take care of yourself; for you, your family and friends, and the horses. Just a suggestion...make yourself take at least two half hour periods a day to just stop! Even if you want to just sit or rest in the barn, with your eyes closed and listen to the horses. Be by yourself, and think only of YOU! I know this is not you, but it is so important for your body and mind. You are a wonderful person, and the world needs more people like you!

Well said, the best advice as refreshes you like nothing else. Try not to think of anything at all (hard at first) but can be achieved. Please don’t sacrifice yourself Yvonne, if you are out of action everything is out of action. Sending healing hugs to you and your beautiful family and of course the horses ❤ 🇮🇲🇮🇲😴

Indeed. This channel hit my feed because I was randomly watching horses. This is the only one I have stayed with. Because of Yvonne's personality. I guess most of us are like that. Uniek was beautiful, Risey is stunning, the ponies are gorgeous, but there are so many Friesian channels, Arabian channels, wild horse channels I could choose to watch. Here I am, because of one Friesian woman and her beautiful family, and her beautiful heart, and her dedication. Look after yourself. You are precious.

Yvonne. I had a terrace accident 10 years ago. I made sure to listen to my body and rest. A lot..
I am so much better these days, but it took determination to be obedient to rest.
When pain starts I have to stop or suffer.
I’m not very technical,so I can’t give you words of wisdom on that, I’m sorry.
I hope someone out there has excellent advice for you.

Please never feel the need to apologise to us for looking after yourself first. Without you, there is no channel. We are greatful for everything you share as it is. It was not that long ago we all thought we had lost you and recovery is not done in an instant. Plus the stress of the last few weeks and the change of weather of course you need time and your brain is feeling the strain. Thankyou and your family friends and employer for sharing you with us.

Absolutely this! Although the new babies are a comfort, I’m sure, being in mourning over the loss of Uniek can be exhausting. Grief is a big stressor! Please be as gentle with yourself as you are with everyone around you. ❤

Yvonne I enjoy and look forward to every video you put out, but don't do it at the risk of your health! You had a TBI just over a year ago, Risey got Wobblers, and now your best friend, Uniek, has die. You take care of your family, your horses and ponies, and dogs and cat, and you are a UTube sensation and you tape and edit your own videos...that is more than enough stress to lay low 80% of the population. You are a "Wonder Woman", but still you need to take care of yourself first with the help of your marvelous husband Bauke. Don't make him worry about you and your health. When you were in a coma he kept us informed on your progress though it was a very hard thing for him to do because he loves you so much and his pain over your condition was plain for all to see. Take time for yourself and him,( and your beautiful boys) and take care of YOURSELF for them. We love and admire your courage but take time to grieve properly for your dear Uniek. Because of your videos we will be able to watch our favorite Queen anytime, day or night, and we will, because she remains in our hearts forever. I am so sorry for your loss. This is going to sound motherly, but don’t underestimate the role that stress is having on you. Of course the biggest has been the loss of Uniek, along with what was best for Risey, the sale of most of the horses at Stal G which you have nurtured across the years, caring for new foals (Yfke & Blomke) and of course the very special Bella. I am sure there is a whole lot more! Please take more time for you. We the Herd can find ways to keep your income from the channel flowing.

Yvonne, when all the Stall G herd was sold to the Canadian buyers, many viewers might have thought it was all over for your videos. That was a real loss for you as well as many of us viewers. The colts and mares we loved to watch and hear about just went with one "sweep" and they were gone. That was hard. I know that must have affected you terribly. That would have affected your RUclips watches, as some may have felt it was too extreme to let them all go like that. At first, to be honest, I felt that. They went so quickly. Uniek has now passed which is unbelievable to have happened so suddenly and how she died, and Rising Star has wobbler, and his story is so sad too. You have had a lot to absorb with all these events happening so quickly. You are not complaining, I think your RUclips friends who love you feel your hurt and pain and we do want to keep watching, and we do want to help. I will, and I live across the world from you in the United States. But I still love your videos, and your excellent care of your horses, and how you love them so much. Your husband and your boys are so fun to watch and so many things have happened at your home with the barn and building, etc., you have not had a chance to rest. Keep doing what you are doing but take it easy Yvonne. Don't stress about it. Mathilde is a plus for your videos as I have always enjoyed seeing her in them. She is a good friend for you, solid, and wise and caring. I was worried about Glendy now too, and she is just a small pony that you have shown us and we have followed. Belle is here now. We can follow her at Stall H. I still like seeing Sjors at Stall G. He is a pretty horse although I know he only boards there. I always forget to click on "like". I will remember and I hope all your viewers will too. If that will help, then that is what we will do. We are with you, Yvonne. I love watching your videos and always have. I watched a session with her and a KPN horse, she was the most beautiful andI cried. I am thankful, however, she has produced some beautiful foals and her name continues on their family charts.

Give yourself a break, Yvonne. You're putting unnecessary stress on yourself with such a rigorous video schedule. Post twice a week, or even once a week. You will be amazed at what a difference it will make. Many of the creators I watch only post once a week. Your subscribers have proven their loyalty, they will not abandone you. Take care.

You are not complaining Yvonne, you are just being honest and real. From reading other comments, we all seem to want to encourage you to rest when you need to. My suggestion would be, when you are too tired, post a short note on the community page saying you are ok but need a rest and ask us to watch old vlogs whilst you rest. We will all know you are ok and can help keep up the views etc.

I bet an unedited film of the doings around Stal G and H would be easier on your back. Taije could do the filming and /or commenting sometimes. Yvonne, you are a human BEING, not a human DOING. Many have offered wonderful, loving advice. I would just add that taking the time to rest your mind and settle your body for even 15-20 minutes is beneficial. You now have the added burden of deeply grieving your precious Uniek. My dear Husband would ask you: "Yvonne, are you kind to yourself?" Praying for you right now to make time to just be. Hugs from East Tennessee!

I spent most of my life as a chaplain, spending a lot of time with grieving people. Grief takes a toll on us physically, mentally and spiritually. We all grieve for Uniek, no one more than her best friend, Yvonne. Please, Yvonne, take care of yourself. In the US grief counselors are available. Is such a person near you? There are no quick fixes for grief, but it might be something to give a try. Prayers are with you.
Thank you for your ministry. Your listening and guidance brings comfort during some of our hardest days. Yvonne, thru local schools, churches, civic organizations, and your rehab hospital social services you'll be able to access counselors. Take time for yourself.

As a person who has chronic pain issues, I encourage you to try to make time for short breaks in your day. It’s hard for a person with a young family and many animal “kids.” And a RUclips channel. But you don’t want to have a crash that could happen from pushing yourself too far. Even a 20-minute break is helpful. That’s my experience.
Meanwhile, you have quite a zoomy foal there! Blomke is so cute and yes, those blue eyes are quite special. Saly is a perfect mom, for sure.

Yes, the breaks are immensely helpful to lower pain.
It’s so enjoyable to see the foals grow. At the time of this video Blomke was only 5 days old, and to see her go from shaky legs to racing around the arena. Amazing!

For the most part, I am okay with that, but Wunder is at Stal G, and I love that boefke. I already miss seeing him scampering around Stal H. And Thekla, I love her too. Any foal from Saly is always so special.
Maybe visit Goengamieden only once per week??

That is a good idea. Yvonne could go to stal G for herself, without having to film ... Suggestion: maybe another person at stal G could film a short update from time to time, and Yvonne could upload it to the channel or put it into one of her own videos (as she has done before)
Your energy, stamina, good humor and seeing things from your perspective are what makes watching this channel so addictive and so much fun. We share in your joys and sorrows and appreciate all you share. I don’t know how you pack so much in a day but please give yourself a break every now and then. I know how much fun video editing can be … although incredibly time consuming … but if you enjoy it - do it. When there isn’t a daily video I also check the community board for a photo but I understand when there isn’t a new post there. As a member of this herd I not going anywhere. Please do what’s best for you.

Shorts are a great idea. You could do those for 4 or 5 posts and then do a longer one maybe once a week. You can keep us up on important happenings through shorts and then explain them, if necessary, in your weekly long post. I love shorts anyway!

Dear Yvonne: Please schedule in a little siesta time for your self each day. Even 30 minutes will refresh you. Let your brain and body rest from all you do, and just breathe. Maybe listen to some peaceful music. And relax. Praying for you.
30 minutes laying down breaks are most helpful for pain.

When my back hurts, i out on my back brace that has a pack of blue frozen ice in it. It Velcro’s on around my waist and hits the right spot, and it works really well to dull the pain and allows me to continue working. Does this sound like an idea for you?

Also, I keep thinking about our now Canadian horses. There's no way they are being loved and cared for like they were here. Regrettably, in my opinion, those horses are just valued now as dollar signs. They may be cared for okay, but I'm sure they miss the love and attention they had been used to. Here those horses were so much more than just a herd of well-bred and expensive animals. And... I would love to be proven wrong! 😢

Saly looks so pretty in that teal colored halter. Blomke is really a sweet, fast little girl. She is so cute and Saly is a great mother. Puck was doing some funny little faces and head tosses. He is really cute. Teije feeding the horses and ponies was very cute. He wanted to make sure that all of them got a treat.❤

When Yvonne put the rack back up, Blomke looked so disappointed. Yvonne take care of you,the herd has you. In every herd there has to be those that boo hoo, but when someone that has been through all you have. It is totally understandable for you to express your aches and pains. You work very long hard days. Do not apologize to us when you feel miserable and want to express it.
It's so nice to see Queen Uniek in these videos. I can't imagine what it's like for you to have lost her, especially so suddenly. And I love seeing her boy Risey and that spicy little filly Blomke. So graceful and coordinated even just a few days in the world. Take care, Yvonne and see that you get enough rest. Get some help with the chores if you can.

Yvonne, we all just do the best that we can then let the rest go. When I had to take my Mom to the nursing home for the 1st time, when driving home in the rain, I broke down. Sobbing. I had to pull over in my car. I called the home & spoke to my Mom, who told me the above and it was a real comfort. I love how all the horses greet and know you! You must take care of yourself 1st to be able to take care of all your babies! Best wishes to you! Ps: It will all work out!

Thank you for sharing your story. I also had to make the hard choice of putting my mother in a care home. But it turned out to be the best decision because after she settled down, she's happy. She loves the attention from the nurses and all the meals at the care home. I visit once a week on the weekends for an hour. And seeing her happy makes me happy too. I don't feel guilty or sad anymore. It's really true! Everything works out alright in the end 👍

Finally, it is definitely poignant to see Uniek in her last days but I am so happy to see that she was thriving right up until the end. Well loved and so missed!❤️

It is understandable that you would go less to Stal G as Stal H is is a growing commitment. Listen to your body when it tells you to slow down. If you push too hard, you could set yourself back a long way. You may be feeling more tired as you mourn Uniek. Please don't ignore your grief, it is more than understandable. Even with so much going on, try to give yourself time and space for it. Your and Uniek's story is so exceptional, that it is not something from which you can easily move on.
Saly's foals are always precocious, but Blomke is particularly curious and brave. I do miss Wunder's antics.
All those buckets of milk have really paid off; Yfke has become a very beautiful young lady.
There is nothing like watching the newborns running around - never get tired of seeing them frolicking. Everyone has different personalities and energy and confidence towards humans.
Yvonne, you are doing a great job covering 2 Stals. We understand that it is so much work, and you can only do so much. It is important that you take care of yourself and continue to heal after your accident. It was strange to see Stal G without all of the mares, but the young horses develop so rapidly. The human workload is tremendous!
Please be easy. I am still sad because of the passing of Queen Uniek. I had a pony when I was 5. My family had a few horses that we kept as a stable and rode every weekend and during the week. A Shetland pony named Lady. She was very sweet and gentle and followed me everywhere. I used to climb all over her and ride her, lay on her and she just was my dear friend. Lady passed away when I was little, she was old when we got her. Now I am old and I still miss those times very much. Silly animals.
You are allowed to grieve, to feel overwhlemed and to be feeling very tired. We send you big hugs. So be easy, take time for you, healing is a good thing. we want to see that as much as we want to see the mooi hynders. Nothing in nature or life is static and stays forever as it was or is right now. There is constant change.
When I am very sad, the sandness can manefest into phyisical pain where our bodies are injured, or like me, arthritis. When i am sad my arthritis hurts, in fact everything hurts. It is exhausting. You will feel better, you will. Maybe an editor can help you out? maybe you have reched that stage of video production now. Please take good care of yourself.

Stall H is wonderful and since we’re not all that familiar with new stall G horses, I’m more interested in your herd anymore. You do a wonderful job despite your difficulties, save some energy and concentrate on horses at home ❤️❤️
Take the time for yourself. Pamper yourself. Listen to your body. Without you this channel wouldn't exist. I understand that you may feel pressured to provide content but that has to come after taking care of yourself and your family.
