Your idea of using Ai voice is briliant. It is now not as terrible and you do not need to shuffle with microphone and "professional" voice overlay. Aka - good idea. Plus you can take voice generators that use your voice as sample target. It will feel legit and makes your videos better.
Well, I know that my funny voice and accent are not the best part of any of my videos... (I'm working on it...) But using an AI voice generator takes way more time. Mostly because you have to synchronize the text with what's going on the screen... If you have 30 sec segment you have to type a text which will fit into that time frame... When filming live, a 10 minute video can be done in one continuous take ...

do you plan to do a video on installing win2k? i've installed everything from 11 to xp on my i3-12100f pc and because i can still create an extra partition on my hdd i want to complete it with win2k
Yes, I do. Actually I have Windows 2K already installed on one of my drives/partitions. (I have to look for it because I almost ran out of letters in Windows 11) On a Ryzen 9 3900X, Windows 2000 can use all 12 cores. Windows NT 4.0 can't - ruclips.net/video/QdkZC2WAiDQ/видео.html

9 months later... It's not clear if this is happening on Windows 98 or Windows 11. If it's Windows 98, the issue could be with your disk drivers is the system halts. Try booting into Safe Mode to troubleshoot. Let me know which OS you're referring to so I can help further!
yea but windows 98 can only handle about 2.5 gigs of ram due to a 32 bit memory address space and without the r loew patch windows 98 refuses to boot with >1 gb of ram and has issues with above 512 MB, so you can simply limit the ram to that in system.ini i think
Haha, yeah, 128GB is definitely overkill for Windows 98! 😄 I tried it with 64GB of RAM, and it worked perfectly fine! The trick is using a setting called MaxPhysPage, which tells Windows 98 to ignore anything beyond a certain amount of RAM. So even if you have 128GB, you can still run it smoothly by limiting how much memory Windows 98 sees. It's wild to think how far we've come-back then, most PCs barely had 1GB of storage!
I did this once, then I wondered why I even bothered, getting a bootable windows 98 working is only half the story, then comes the painful task of finding drivers for your GPU and audio, and forget your wireless bluetooth headphones, you won't be using them.
Well, it's totally doable if you are passionate about hardware... I have a PCI-Express to USB card which is Windows 98 compatible. Once you have USB - you have USB audio support (it was introduced with 98 SE) so you can plug even modern headphones, then you have LAN/Wireless adapters, and other stuff. For audio there are PCI-Express cards with CMI8738 chip on Ali for 10$. Of course, there are tons of PCI audio cards compatible with Win 98. (if you have a spare PCI slot, and if you don't you can use another 10$ adapter) For GPU part you have to stick with a GeForce 6xxx series or an ATI X7xx/8xx like in this video: ruclips.net/video/YAHbJ_S2a6E/видео.html

Install PTCHSATA by R. Loew. You have to do it from DOS, this patch specifically modifies ESDI_506.PDR -> lonecrusader.x10host.com/rloew/patchata.html Also try to set SATA as AHCI în BIOS.
@@TomR459Try this: archive.org/details/PATCHMEM ! Also from DOS. Hmm... interesting how on older motherboards is more complicated, I just installed Windows 98 on an Intel 13th Gen without any problems, except the classic error messages that are well documented.
Well, it's not so complicated if you have enough expansion slots... and you like to boot in various OSes on the same computer. For example, I have a PCI-E 1x to USB 2.0 adapter card which works in every OS from Windows 95 OSR2 to Windows 11 (VIA 6212). Then I have a PCI Voodoo 3 which has drivers even for Windows 3.11. My PCI sound card also is almost universal, works even in Windows 10.
Not in the same time with UEFI, you have to enable CSM for Windows 9x. But... Windows 11 can boot with CSM so you can boot whichever you want... without changing modes in BIOS.
Here I am checking if I can run windows 98 se on a core 2 quad (which can run windows 11 with some tweaks) and the dude installs ot on a post skylake pc lol

Yes, of course, but this is an easy job, basically the boot manager from Vista and from Windows 10/11 is the same.
