You don't know where the sailor was sailing to, how far and if he was even going to be back that day. The fear of that probably made them jump. As an obviously older man, he should have known better. How was it so difficult for him to just let them all out before leaving?

If it can be proven that the sailor really did tell them to get off his raft and they refused but instead choose to swim to shore then how can he be held accountable?
It's obvious they refused to get off, cos once the shaft started sailing they were supposed to jump off, they were not tied to the shaft. I think whenever death starts calling someone it blinds the person, they were blinded with stubbornness and then came death

This is very sad, it reminds me of a friend who drowned in lake kariba Zambia side in siyavhonga. We where on holiday in kariba zim side. I had the longest and saddest trip back to harare. May the friends and families of these boys find comfort. Rest in peace guys.
This is so, so sad. Why do some humans act like they have no heart and soul in them? The sailor should be held responsible. No matter how stubborn the young men might have been, this is an issue of life that we're talking about. And let me ask; if that sailor had, had one of his relatives in that boat, would he have been so heartless to let him jump into the lake? I mean he is a sailor and should know better. I'm sure he knew how far he has moved from the shore. For me, I think there's more to this story. Because they were eight healthy young guys (full of life) and should have probably scared the sailor to take them back to the shore. .... So how was this sailor able to overpower these young guys that they were left with no option than to jump into the lake?🤷🤷
There should have just played around their limit and be cautions about their life and safety. Like me I am not good at swimming so any time I go to the river to swim my safety first . I don't Care what others are doing there
It's unfortunate they got drown in the sea. Sometimes, it's good to listen to someone when they say no to certain things, we're of the same age doesn't mean you can disregard/disrespect me...no! Although it has happened, No one should be held responsible for their death, because youth of this days are strong hearted beings, this story is like wan someone jump out of a moving bike in the express...... Unless if the sailor push dem Into the water by himself, that is when he should be held responsible, after on two survive they can give the clear picture of what happened that faith day. Thank you narrator, may the soul of all the faithful Departed rest in peace. 😭😭😭
That's the case of a stubborn sailor and a stubborn group of people... Youthful exuberance. The children should have got off earlier but stubbornness wouldn't let them. The sailor would have prevented the tragedy by going to the land to get some older people to chase the boys out but he was blinded by stubbornness. It's a pity, the dead can't come back to life, young people should learn from this. Hasn't the stubborn chicken end up in the belly of the snake ? The sailor never pushed them into the water, they did it by themselves, the sailor would think da maybe they new house to swim, so he isn't to be blamed. He never foresaw the deaths coming. Young and stubborn people should just learn from this.
The sailor and the company that owns the boat should be charged with negligence with malicious intent. He was just about his work and not the welfare of these kids. Very unfortunate. "Watch and Pray" the bible says, for the devil your adversary is roaming about looking for whom to devour". So terrible a tragedy that could have been avoided. I'm sure if the guys knew the sailor was going to sail the boat, they would have stopped swimming. He led them to their unfortunate death. Extreme negligence on the sailor's part and thus should never be allowed to ever sail again! 🙄😱😳😴😞👿🙀
Part of the narration is correct yet the other not. The coxswain did not force anyone to jump off his fishing boat. What happened is a common play by the local boys who knows how to swim. When the coxswain/sailer came to the to refuel his boat,He found the boys playing near the shore jumping of from a parked banana boat. When The boys saw the big boat arriving they left the banana boat to the coxswain's fishing boat because it was bigger and good for jumping. When the coxswain refueled, he started off for his fishing duties. He had no idea whether there were new boys amongst them. All he knew was as a usual thing, were boys jump off when it reaches a certain point and swim back to the shore. Unfortunately the new boys never new how to swim, and they painfully drowned. May they continue to rest in peace
It is also said that it was common for the young boys (locals) at the Kariba to have been on that boat and jump off as it gets to deeper waters. They knew the waters but these guys where strangers and might have jumped to far off from the shore.
As a Zambian I can definitely confirm the authenticity of the narration.,It was such a tragic incidence 😭😭😭May there souls rest in peace 😭😭😭😭.

What was he to do though when he's of their age??💔💔 I feel like when something of this nature happens people always look for someone or something to blame to make them feel better, even though it doesn't pacify them in the long run, it's human nature.
I do feel bad for their sad departure 😭😭💔💔💔💔 the year has just begun. May their soul rest in harmony 🥺🙏🏼
Ur news are always on point
Thank you Daniel 🙏
Eya but boss abeg dey share us good news too abeg
Although it has happened, No one should be held responsible for their death, because youth of this days are strong hearted beings, this story is like wan someone jump out of a moving bike in the express...... Unless if the sailor push dem Into the water by himself, that is when he should be held responsible, after on two survive they can give the clear picture of what happened that faith day. Thank you narrator, may the soul of all the faithful Departed rest in peace. 😭😭😭
The sailor should go to jail. He's heartless 😭😭 i just like and subscribe. I like how you speak.
Like how callous can humans be biko..... Come-on!!!!!!! The sailor should be arrested
Yeah the fact that the refused knowing we’ll they can’t swim back when he moved he should be held responsible
Well unfortunately those boys/young men were on his property without his permission 🤷🏽♀️
So painful I love your channel
Sad 😔 story, may their soul rest in peace. My condolences to their families.
Great content broo. 👌love your channel
It is also said that it was common for the young boys (locals) at the Kariba to have been on that boat and jump off as it gets to deeper waters. They knew the waters but these guys where strangers and might have jumped to far off from the shore.
Hmmm, that's very sad.😞😞😞 My sincere condolences to their families! May their souls rest in peace!🙏🙏
