Thank you for commenting. :) They seemed to need a side-by-side. I think I'm partial to the Rare Triumphs with the exception of only a few cards. Do you have a preference between these two decks?
@@MarilynFromTarotClarity It's funny, I hadn't thought of a favorite. I think I prefer Rare Triumphs, just because I haven't done much study of playing cards, but I do have some Marseilles practice, so I find the pips easier to read. I also like the renamed Triumphs to make them less Christian / more modern. That said, I adore the watercolor art style and facial expressions in Playing Marseilles. Ryan created a lot of saucy characters and I appreciate them so much.
@@WaterChildTarot Great observation about some of the renaming to get them out of a religious context. I do tend to be a purist and traditionalist with Tarot, but if changes make sense I'm all for it. The Playing Marseille's reserves a lot of the traditional aspects and you're right, this facial expressions and mastery of color application make it a jewel of a deck. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. xoxo ~ Marilyn
I love the Playing Marseille! I recently acquired it and I find the line work so graceful and dynamic. I also love the varying skin tones. Thanks for the comparison.
Yes, I agree with you on both points. And it's so well-priced! Only $22.00+ change over at US Games Systems Inc. Thank you for being here Frances, I appreciate you. ~ Marilyn
@@MarilynFromTarotClarity I love your content, Marylyn. And I appreciate your presence, as well. Have a great day. Hope you and hubby are doing well. 🥰
i think the merchant can make sense because of the association of the third arcanum with venus which is also the planet of trade and commerce; just a thought.
Oh, great idea for a video, I have these but hadn't thought to compare them. They look really cool together!
