  • This tip will help you remember your words and sound more natural on camera. On-camera fear is a huge obstacle for putting yourself out there on RUclips or any other social media platform. Nothing makes that fear worse than stumbling over your words, or forgetting what to say.

Writing for the eye vs writing for the ear. Love it! Thanks again!

Thank you Michael Kinney. Although your channel isn't music-related like the ones I normally watch, I have learned so many life-changing skills from watching your videos.

Great advice. Just have some bulletpoints to make sure you don’t forget anything you are wanting to speak about.

This was great, thank you. Any software tools you know of that can transcribe on the fly? Would be nice to practice, and have everything automatically written down.

Michael, what cheap-ish microphone should I get? Is the one your daughter has sufficient for youtube channels or do I need a condenser? I saw the Black Hole video but I really want a sound as clean & clear as yours but for a start-up. Also, on voice effects in iMovie, I like none of them. Maybe the Multi-Tone but my sound is off and I need to do something about it. God, what do you consider??

not sure what you meant by "talk your script'; i understood the concept but what's the technique or process involved? perhaps i missed it, maybe i should watch it again before i post this comment hahah, but i don't have time, wanna get through the rest of your awesome videos i've been binge watching

No problem. Many people start writing their video script on paper (writing for the eye). Instead, say your ideas out loud first, as if you were presenting them in the video, to see how they sound and if they make sense, then write them down.

@@MacVideoMagic Ah, I get you, kinda like a dry run... sound advice, in fact I'd go one step further (based on my experience as a recording musician) and that is to RECORD even your "talking out loud" sessions, sometimes you're on your best during first take, and its a shame whenever you realize it wasn't captured; i record all my guitar solo warm up tracks...always! (a lesson I learned early on...) anyhow, GREAT CONTENT your channel, and you are a master rhetorician !
