After how much of sociopath Chris became in later seasons, it was cool having a new host like Don who wasn't plotting some new challenge that could really hurt the contestants.
Chris seemed more like a psychopath than a sociopath. He knew what he was doing was wrong but he downright did not care AND he had a narcissistic personality as well. Which as sociopaths aren’t that narcissistic and sociopaths don’t know what they’re doing is wrong.
And the fact he genuinely liked contestants like the surfer bros, police cadets, and he genuinely felt bad when people got hurt shows the difference. And how he realized how dangerous some challenges were too! After season 1 and even 2 Chris became obsessed with pain

The Ridonculous Race is the only season with challenges as TAME as Season 1, if not even tamer. Don is a nicer and better host then Chris. He treats both the contestants and the interns way better then Chris ever did. He actually believes in fairplay, shows concern when a challenge appears too dangerous, is physically fit enough to demonstrate the challenge, and shows concern when any of the contestants get hurt.
If Don is replaced by Chris in Ridonculous Race, Geoff, Owen, Noah and Leonard is gonna be heading that far in the race. Yes I know Leonard did get eliminated very early in Pahkitew being the second to get eliminated, but he might already knew Chris’s tactics the second time they meet again.

5:02 "I hate everything." -Local Judge from Romania.
This compilation had me dying from laughter! 🤣
8:39 My favorite scene, Don trying to put a smile on his face, what great guy
When I first saw Don, I hated him because he wasn’t Chris, but I slowly came to like him
It would be difficult to dislike Don. He was such a breath of fresh air and well-written imo.
@@jonquilgemstone this is true, but when you spend 6 seasons with Chris, you definitely start to miss him
@@evelinwithani332 YEAH, I know what you mean. There's always a nostalgia factor.
@@jonquilgemstone Plus I just loved his voice too, lol
@@evelinwithani332 Alpha m sounds a lot like Chris McLean.

He has a frog 🐸 umbrella
That is so cute/funny
1:20 I have a feeling Owen has eaten two of every animal meat, even giraffe
😆😆😆
A headcannon I have is after the intern dies in the first demonstration, Don volunteered to do all the other demonstrations himself (better to have someone whose athletically fit and at least knows his way around them)
I still think the Don Boxes are one of the most adorable things in this world.
1:00 I think Jose stabbed an island
LOL. A very tiny island at best
@@luaisy9960 yee
Rip ocean
I like Don. He just wants to host a friendly competition. And we see him with alot of emotions and even concern for contestants lives back in Dubai.
0:29 "Merciii" She's so cute
2:44 look at him, he is so mad, look at his fists, love it
As much as I love Chris because he's iconic and untouchable. It's nice to see a host who feels more human.
I like Chris, he's a bastard, but Don is just a cool dude.
10:47 To this day, I still wonder what he was gonna say to them and I lose sleep thinking about it...
Don: "Welcome back to Syberia, where yesterday's cheaters- I mean winners."
“International actually but I should tell you-it’ll be a quick flight”
Lmao that transition
They robbed this man of a second season.
I respect you for putting in the both 2/4 winners without repeating scenes
Am I the only one laughing at how he screams “HEEELLLP” at 3:53?
Don is WAY better than Chris Mclean.
From insane host and sane contestants
To sane host and insane contestants
He's way better than chris
imo Don isnt better than original TDI Chris, but all others (where he’s crazy n shit) yes.
Chris McLean was turning into a mad man.

Don Is Tophers Dad Fight Me
Haha nah I wholeheartedly support this headcanon
Or his uncle.
I LOVED don!! He’s actually so funny and deserves more love idc
Edit: your headcanon about don growing up in South Africa is amazing I fully believe in it nkw
Amazing
Thank you! ^_^
3:24 But-

Don:don’t care ☝🏻
BUT-
Don:DONT care🫷🏻
I rather enjoyed whenever Don interacted with his staff or the locals. He demonstrates comradery and concern to the point that he jokes around with the people who set up the challenges and don boxes as well as making sure challenges won’t be sadistically deadly and torturous to the contestants like Chris would.
So yeah, he’s a pretty neat host.
pls ur commentary is just fuckin’ great mate. we all appreciate don and honestly, the surfers were the best, no questions asked.
16:54 Stand back, big meltdown from Jose 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Why can't he replace Chris? I love him and Chef so much more
2:27-2:31 What's the joke?
2:32-2:46 One of my favorite moments from season 7
8:25-8:36 I was so relieved when I watched this part of the episode on its premiere day
12:02-12:10 Another favorite moment
14:46-14:51 We all know he meant cheaters
15:05-15:28 One of the best moments from The Ridonculous Race
15:48-15:53 Don praises the Ice Dancers then asks himself "Wait, why am I praising these two?"
16:42-17:03 I've grown to like this moment the more I've watched over the years
3:49 you are coming to brazil
Help, I'm laughing my arse off because of this video. I never realise how hilarious his moments are lmao.
