I fucking laughed my ass off this episode. I would watch an hour of you two just trying to get each other to lose it on camera. With so many options for "how to" RUclips videos out there, this one is genuinely special. Keep it up
Awesome video fellas. My 99 had that stop leak SHT in it when I bought it 6 years ago. Flushed the system thoroughly and put a new radiator in it then. Three years later I hit a deer, and had to put a second radiator in it. Fast forward to yesterday when I checked the coolant, and found it SHT brown, and full of what looked like dirt! After draining the system and pulling the hoses I determined that at some point on my last wheeling trip a left over chunk of that stuff must have broken loose and was in the system. So 6 years later I'm still dealing with that nasty SHT! Also another tip. if any of you're hoses are old replace them. I found that my heater hoses where really rough inside like the rubber was starting to break down, and also don't forget coolant has a life span. As it gets old the lubrication properties of it start to fail, and it will start to turn slightly acidic. It will start eating away at the internal passages of the system.
Yeah, that shit will come back to haunt you. We touched on the subject of coolant breaking down over time and ruining parts in our "Burping your Coolant" video Cheers Bud!!
LOL. Hey, do you guys have an email or phone numberi can text a picture to? i was at the local part source the other day and snapped a picture of the loan a tool program that i was saying id take a picture of in that previous apology video that you made.
Awesome video! You guys are a riot. Those stop-leak products do work in an emergency. Dumping in a bunch of gunk may save your old rad for now, but down the road when you're replacing a clogged heater core, you'll wish you had just gotten a new rad in the first place.
Never had so much fun watching a radiator replacement. My radiator video just looks boring as hell now! Not sure which part was more entertaining, the main video or the outtakes. Probably one of your best yet guys. Great video!
AWESOMELY AWESOME!!!!! Tommy should get an award for over acting that is frickin awesomely hilarious 😂😂👍😉You guys frickin rock!!!!! Thank a guys 🍻🌭🍺cheers my brothers in the great white north 😋
GREAT VIDEO GUYS! One of the best! But for something I wanna see is maybe a lift video (I know you guys have a lift already) and add bigger tires, or putting the right kind of muffler on the jeep, hopefully I'll be getting one soon!
your contents are fucking epic i don't ever subscribe because of the annoying messages i recieve all the time but you guys! i subscribed instantly !!! keep up the good work
I HAVE A QUESTION.........I HAVE A HARD TIME DRIVING MY JEEP BECAUSE ITS STANDARD AND I HAVE ONE HAND ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND A BEER IN MY OTHER HAND.. I HAVE A HARD TIME SHIFTING .....SHOULD I JUST TRADE IT IN FOR AN AUTOMATIC ???????
it appears yall chose an oem replacement, any thoughts on them aftermarket multiple core radiators? oir xj's tend to run hot so why not go with the extra core(s)? love your channel keep it up! hope to see you guys on the trail some day!
After installing the Hood Vents, we'v had a tough time getting up to operating temp. Removed the clutch fan and things haven't been better. The secondary fan kicks on when the thermostat opens and moderates engine temp perfectly. Saw no reason to spend the extra cash. Cheers Bud!
I put in 3 of those cheap aluminum radiators from Ebay and Amazon. Not all at once but one at a time after they died. All 3 leaked after a month or 2. I am now redoing my head because it overheated so bad. My other head needs to be screwed on properly too.
Looks like an aftermarket radiator, is it a 1 row metal plastic combo or did you upgrade to like 3 row to help keep it cool especially without having the clutch fan?
I worked on my 97 Cherokee from dawn till dusk trying to put on a motor mount and move my bell housing so I can change that freeze plug being blocked by it. I unbolted the cross member and forgot to support my transmission then went to bed. I put it back up in the morning when I remembered what I didn't do. What do you think the damage is? P.S. you have any advice on changing the worlds most inconvenient freeze plug?
Hey guys, Just saw your video. Alot of good info as always, so thank you. Was wondering if you could do a how-to on a transmission cooler? I really am thinking of doing the JCR otk steering on mine now after seeing yours. Thanks again for the great vids.
Why did you not keep the condenser fan when you converted the AC compressor to be an air compressor? I mean that fan does help cool the radiator better than just having the one fan.
We removed the clutch fan because it pulls a lot of the snap out of your throttle, and we don't have any cooling issues now after installing the hood vents. Actually had a hard time getting to operating temp till the fan was gone. The electric back up fan turns on just as the thermostat opens. it's perfect. Cheers!!
Uh.... don't know about the 4 dudes thing but..... There's no for sure trick to waterproofing your electronics that I know of, But if you really wanna go swimming that deep, I've seen folks relocate stuff inside the cab and up high. I really never looked into it that far. nobody does that 'round here.
Well, I'd make sure your cap and rotor are sealed or cracked and seal up the connections with dielectric grease. check your plug wires as well. I'v also heard of guys running deflection flaps made out of rubber to keep the splashing down. hope that helps.
hi! just want to ask. did you install the crown radiator #52028133. do you know the counterpart of it in mopar? i have a 96 cherokee xj. what model is your cherokee?
Haha. Hey not so cool Clide....Awesome Show..... like Thommy i also dont know that bee cool stuff... But while talkin bout Radiators... I figured out that, when u drive around in slow speed and your Fan kicks on and you have to stop and turn off your engine it also kills the fan. Do you got eny ideas how to solve that Problem? I found a Radiator who got a add. port for a themp sensor like the non HO models got and i put a seperate Relais in there but it only kicks on wen the Radiator is realy hot not if only the engine realy hot... Lets see if you have a gloryouse idea...
Hahahaha. Love the intentional typo's. def got our attention. First off. if you're overheating, don't shut the engine off. You're killing the water pump and at that point the effects of the fan still running is negligible. "Heat Soak" is a term used for when you shut off your engine at a normal operating temp and because the cooling system is no longer working, the engine will reach higher than desired temps. XJ's have a real issue with this. You may have heard of them getting vapor lock in the fuel rail..... it's caused from heat soak boiling the fuel in the rail. Our solution to this was installing hood vents, and let me tell ya. it's been working out great. Hope this helps. Cheers Bud!!

You guys rock!
My requests for videos are:
1) New headliner! + soundproofing?
2) Transmission cooler + gauge
3) More steering related videos (durango steering box swap, possible upgrades, etc.)
4) rear disc brake conversion.
5) Switch/relay setups+ offroad lights
1) Maybe
2) Quite possible
3) Working on it
4) Not really an interest
5) For sure, that's a great idea. Cheers!!
Yes headliner

When tommy said "it's over!!" So relatable
I love you dudes!! Plus you walked me through like all my Jeep fixes explanatory and fun to watch
Awesome video! You guys are a riot. Those stop-leak products do work in an emergency. Dumping in a bunch of gunk may save your old rad for now, but down the road when you're replacing a clogged heater core, you'll wish you had just gotten a new rad in the first place.
I always look forward to your videos. Funny, informative and entertaining. Loved the ending guys.
Cheers Bud!
Hope we haven't set the bar too high...

Cheers our slightly more southern brother from the Red White and Blue!!!
2014 chevy 1500 radiators are a pain. Just be glad yours didn't look like it was used for kickball before it was sent out.
Have seen that. Same with the newer ford ones.
Another fun one guys! It always fun watching.
Cheers Bud!
Fillin' the void ya know....
I wanna see you guys wheel the jeep! We all know you can make a channel out of fixing jeeps but we wanna see what they do best! hahaha! Keep it up!
Coming soon enough.
Cheers Bud!!
Tommy had me crying from laughter at the end with the "I Dont Know!!!"
Moohahahaha
Success!!
@@PabstBoys restart pabst boys with a new project. get my weener hard do it for me daddies.
And no over reacting from Tommy either....Fun stuff guys.
Never...
No, not ever.
Cheers!!
Great video guys, and glad you added the safety info on antifreeze. Also, I kept the condenser even without AC as a rock shield.
Hahahaha That's a good idea.
Keep up the content fellas - Y do I want a Pabst now!
Its over around here when the beer box is empty 🍺🍺
The whole show would be over if the taps ran out.
I want to see an exo-cage installation. Bet they would make it extremely entertaining.
Maybe not with our XJ project, but the sky's the limit with where we go with the next one....
Keep coolant away from the family pet (lets family pet drink the coolant in a safety video) 😂
GREAT VIDEO GUYS! One of the best! But for something I wanna see is maybe a lift video (I know you guys have a lift already) and add bigger tires, or putting the right kind of muffler on the jeep, hopefully I'll be getting one soon!
Actually working on all of those things ATM. Not sure when they'll be done though.

great video!! lets see some wheelin!!!!! Tommy would be a great spotter lol!!
Hahahaha
Ok, that will be funny.
clyde tommy got you at the end lol great vid!
SUCCESS!!
Let's see this Jeep in action! Take it go fishing somewhere!
Hells yeah!
We could use a fishing break.
so even though you said not to forget the bottom isolators, i did. How important are they? rad seems to be in there pretty solid
The rad could vibrate against the support and eventually wear a hole in it......
That's what they're there for.
lmao you guys have the best xj channel
I stopped when I realized you put in a stock radiator. I have never done that ever though we do live in Texas.
I HAVE A QUESTION.........I HAVE A HARD TIME DRIVING MY JEEP BECAUSE ITS STANDARD AND I HAVE ONE HAND ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND A BEER IN MY OTHER HAND.. I HAVE A HARD TIME SHIFTING .....SHOULD I JUST TRADE IT IN FOR AN AUTOMATIC ???????
seriously thought i left one of my music tabs open for a minute. you should let tommy dj more!
Hahahaha
Guess we'll have to make that happen.
Have you guys done the Neon injector "upgrade"?
We have not..
it appears yall chose an oem replacement, any thoughts on them aftermarket multiple core radiators? oir xj's tend to run hot so why not go with the extra core(s)? love your channel keep it up! hope to see you guys on the trail some day!

Hey man I have a jeep 1995 Grand Cherokee it’s 3.5 inches lifted I wanted to change the track bar what do you recommend
Looks like an aftermarket radiator, is it a 1 row metal plastic combo or did you upgrade to like 3 row to help keep it cool especially without having the clutch fan?
OE replacement radiator.
Woulda upgraded, but we don't have any cooling issues and the OE one was way cheaper
the top Trans line looked a little twisted? didn't feel like fixing it.
Not till it stops flow or leaks.
These things will nickel and dime you to death.
I worked on my 97 Cherokee from dawn till dusk trying to put on a motor mount and move my bell housing so I can change that freeze plug being blocked by it. Hopefully in 2017 at some point.
Lotta other stuff first.
Cheers Bud!!
highly enjoyable
Why did you not keep the condenser fan when you converted the AC compressor to be an air compressor? I mean that fan does help cool the radiator better than just having the one fan.
they still have the "condenser fan". it's the electric one they hooked back up.
We removed the clutch fan because it pulls a lot of the snap out of your throttle, and we don't have any cooling issues now after installing the hood vents. Actually had a hard time getting to operating temp till the fan was gone. The electric back up fan turns on just as the thermostat opens. it's perfect.

Is your transmission cooler line slightly kinked where it bends right before it goes into the rad? Looked a little that way at 3:43
It is. Still flows so we'll replace it when it becomes an issue.
Cheers Bud!!
why did you decide to remove the engine driven fan?
Hard to get to operating temp after installing the hood vents.
Yeah, they work that good.
You guys are crazy but great video as usual
LOL
Cheers!
Nice video! I just subbed. I've got a 99 XJ the radiator started leaking last week any suggestions on a new one?
OE stuff works for me, but there is a lot out there in the aftermarket.
Haha..! Totally thought you guys were in school, cuz 'you're cool'. Ha!
*Chuckles*
Cheers Bud!
Ok so the o ring may have been damaged ? Because after changing it started to leak again .. hmm
That's something to look at for sure, but that's on the drivers side.......
Saludos cuando cambie el Radiador se cambia el oíl colier
you guys are hilarious
when installing a snorkel what else is recommended to do to electric systems to prevent them from failing
go fuck ur self
Uh.... don't know about the 4 dudes thing but.....
There's no for sure trick to waterproofing your electronics that I know of, But if you really wanna go swimming that deep, I've seen folks relocate stuff inside the cab and up high.
I really never looked into it that far. nobody does that 'round here.
not swimming to deep just some flooding during hurricane season in south Texas but soon as i get into a puddle it starts to spudded
Well, I'd make sure your cap and rotor are sealed or cracked and seal up the connections with dielectric grease. check your plug wires as well.
I'v also heard of guys running deflection flaps made out of rubber to keep the splashing down.
hope that helps.
thanks
God this it too fuckin funny. Great video guys. Thanks for the help!
looks like the upper transmission cooler line is kinked
It is a little. still flows though till we get a new one.
hi! just want to ask. did you install the crown radiator #52028133. do you know the counterpart of it in mopar? i have a 96 cherokee xj. what model is your cherokee?
it's a '93 Cherokee Country, and the rad is just a cheep aftermarket
how did you make those fender flares?
Planning to do a video about that this year.
How is the new radiator working out? Staying cool?
as a cucumber
why didn't you guys go for a 3 row?
Money.
And the OEM replacement cools just fine up here in Kanucistan
Should've gotten an all aluminum one
Money.
OE one works great.
Haha. Hey not so cool Clide....Awesome Show..... like Thommy i also dont know that bee cool stuff...

Pabst Boys Roadhouse thanks 4 the tip!
I'm with Adam P, that upper trans. cooler line has been abused. . . fun video though, thanks.
Yuppers. We'll change it when it fully craps out. Still flows.
Priorities right?
Cheers!!
Tommy be cool stay in school was from Mr. T!!!
Mr. T is the MAN!!!
Hahaha fantastic. 👍👍🍺🍺
No, you are!
Cheers!!
Antifreeze is no longer a sweet smell it's bitter taste.I think they changed it about two years ago
Takes a while for that stuff to take effect. There's still a lot out there on shelves without the bitering agent.
Better scathed than a story.
I had bought some coolent the other day and it smelt really sweet but it was VERY BITTER tasting
How about a walk around?
It was a while ago but....
ruclips.net/video/EubO8yhOdvg/видео.html
But the XJ is looking so good now! Lol, needs an updated version
guess we'll have to put something together...
Sweet! Love the videos by the way!
Cheers Bud!!
OK...here's a tough one, guys. How 'bout how to fix a squeaky dashboard?
Turn up your radio like the rest of us.
Find out where its squeaking, and make it stop moving/add a barrier material to it.
Ya got two choices; Acoustic foam, or a grenade.
'Pends on your level of frustration.
funny as hell guys. btw i only got my grade 10. so idk. peproni n chicken chips i guess. o.m.b.
I still think you're cool. Not sure what Tommy's on about....
I love it! I laughed my ass off at the end...Thats so lame bwahahahaha
Lame's the new "Hip" Bud.
yeah yeah, sure sure. whatever you say ;)

I wanna do RUclips so bad. but I am not the right person for it
transmission line looks kinked.
It is a little. still flow, but we'll get around to that too.
PEEBERS!!
im sorry. the Asian guy is fun to watch and all. but at times he over does it and is annoying
I wanna do RUclips so bad. but I am not the right person for it
Anyone can do RUclips, that's why it's "you" tube. :)
I like the enthusiasm really. but I couldn't afford the camera to even start lol.
