- As a Mayo Clinic trained pediatrician I love to teach and nurture, both care givers and students. These are my expectations when you rotate with me - my goal is that at the end of the rotation we have both LEARNED and ENJOYED the experience!
My pediatric rotation with Dr. Florez was great! She taught me so much. She helped me become more comfortable explaining things to patients. She is such an amazing provider and anyone would be lucky to rotate with her!
I’ve had the honor of rotating with Dr. Florez and to this day, I can still say she is one of the best preceptors I’ve ever had! Students truly get an experience that allows them to be the provider and practice their clinical skills. I’ve never felt more challenged and I’m so so grateful for the learning opportunity with Dr. Florez. If you want to become a thorough and caring provider, Dr. Florez is the way to go!
I had the pleasure of doing my pediatric rotation with Dr. Florez and it has been my favorite rotation so far. She challenged me every day, which helped me become more comfortable approaching and educating both pediatric patients and their parents. Dr. Florez is very passionate about her job and loves teaching. Her rotation is a great opportunity to learn from the best pediatrician in the area.
Dr. Florez, my amazing pediatric rotation preceptor, has been instrumental in shaping my career as a PA in urgent care. Her guidance not only boosted my confidence in pediatric patient interactions but also significantly improved my skills in assessment and care. I am deeply grateful for her invaluable contributions to making me a better healthcare provider.
Dr. Florez was genuinely one of the best preceptors I had. She truly cares about you as a student/person and puts you in a position to thrive. She pushes you to really learn and makes you feel more confident in yourself and your abilities. She is eager to answer questions and never makes you feel less than. If you are lucky enough to be placed with her, know that it will be an amazing experience.
Dr. Florez was my first preceptor and remains my favorite! She is incredibly smart and completely understands how to effectively teach students, patients, and parents alike. I am so lucky to have had this experience and I know every student feels the same. She has many attributes that I hope to exude as a future provider.
SUCH a great pediatrician, teacher, and patient advocate! Dr. Florez was so fun to rotate with - she challenged my thinking, while also being patient with me. Have fun if you get the pleasure of working with her!
Dr Florez wasn’t my official preceptor but I did get the chance to work with her a few times and I really enjoyed it! Right off the bat she asked so many questions and really tried to get me to think broadly about everything going on with the patient. I leaned so much from just the 3-4 times I got to work with her. She is a wealth of knowledge and such an amazing pediatrician whom all of the patients and parents trust!
