How to change tires
these levers worked great i would never be caught on a road trip or trail without them.
Hey, I used to be "just a roofer!" Thanks for the video... I just picked up a set and was looking for something like this before starting, as I haven't done my own tires in about 20 years. Very helpful.
Cracked me up at the end of the video bud. Thanks for the review
Thanks for the demo mine are in the amazon cart ...gonna pull the trigger now that you showed they really work good..
Thanks very much, I learned a lot from watching you at it, just before I use mine for the first time.
"just a roofer..."
Don't underestimate yourself.
You have body knowledge from DOING it.
I know how i am i don't like cutting and modifiying things i just bought, but i saw someone that i watch on here cut one of them rim protectors in half with a hack saw so then he had 3. Maybe if you need you can do that. and probably what i will do too when mine with the motion pro tire tools arrive. Changing my first motorcycle tire.
Great vid.... did your street bob come with those mags? I would like to change my stock spoked rims to those... is the rear 17" ?? thanks!
Thanks mags are southern wheel works - or something like that 18 rear 23 front
That's cool you still have the original tire irons from when you were 14. I'm getting ready to do my first set of tires on my drz400 and have been researching different tools and methods great video thanks for sharing. Also what kind of dirt bike was your first ride? Do you do any off-road riding now?
1982 yz80
I'll be trying these in my garage to pull off and replace some 130 90 16 Heavy Duty for my cruiser. I hope they go well or I'm going to Harbor Freight to get a bead breaker. I'll let you know how it goes.
Buy the longer steel ones from motion pro they will make it easier but they are not as packable if you want to take them on trips
@@pickitup1 I'm pleased to say after a lot of colorful language, I was able to change out my tire using the packable Motion Pro ones. For future endeavors I may get a different set, but I like to test my road tools at home before taking them on the road, and these passed.
Oh and looking at the video again, I believe I have the longer ones. They still fit nicely flat on the bottom of my saddlebags.
When you break the bead , did it scratch inside the rim ?
No
Gezz you made that look harder than it is !!
Tires for heavy harleys are nothing like sport bike tires. These tires have much stiffer sidewalls
Hey bro alot easier then when we did it on the dirt bikes lol
I carry a plug kit in a little compressor. Usually gets me back on the road right away. You put a chain drive on your bike? What kind of horse power to push it with that thing
Michael Costeline yes chain I have snapped belts pulling wheelies.
I never dynoed it but this s&s 124 inch motor set up should be pushing 130’s hp and torque
143 hp 145 torque
Okay, you have to work the bead down really slowly! And don't get any "lube on the rim! I gotta say, nice tire spoons are just as good and I needed three levers. 2-3/5. They break the bead but they're overpriced.
Thanks for being “real”
Great review video bro! They should def be paying you, LOL.
why do you block the plate,,,,,,,i know where you are G
You lied about the harbor freight motorcycle wheel balance stand video lol I'm still waiting!
😆 life got busy and youtube changed too many rules so I stopped making videos for now. The harbor freight balancer is junk like most of their stuff but if you replace the bearings on it and make a new axle for it like I did it works. I think you’re better off getting a good one
@@pickitup1 lol I get it with RUclips and thanks for advice on the balancer.

@@pickitup1 I thought maybe you took the RUclips money and ran off into the sunset 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Put the tire on the ground, place the heel of your boot on the tire by the rim ,stand up and push down to break the bead. 10 time easier than the silly levers.
Either you are 800 lbs or You never changed a Harley tire 😆
Nice job
Not to be rushing you but what happened to the next review
😆 I got too busy at work and I put 5000 miles on the bike in the past 4 weekends. But just so you know I wouldn’t buy the harbor freight balancer again it works but not great save your money and get a motion pro
$60? man they are $165 plus shipping where i live,
Hmm, rim shields seem like more trouble than they're worth...
That's true if you don't care to mangle your rim
