- Made a random decision today to bring home a new pet... My pet chickens are not the biggest fans but they will soon get along with time! We will see how this pans out. We surprise Luke, watch his reaction!

You have No idea what you are getting into!!! (In a good way ;) if you like chickens you will LOVE turkeys!!! I Never expected to love a turkey but - if you socialize with it as much as you can when they are young they (especially the hens) are Super sweet and funny, mischievous ....they even have a silly sense of humor 😳!! (can get spoiled rotten if you let um :) and will love you like a dog!!! If ours has her way she will Demand snuggles on the couch ( we put down towels or put a diaper on 🙄😜) before she goes to bed 🥰 They greet you when you get home and make Great guard animals - better than Lots of dogs I've known 😂 You are in for a unexpected treat congrats !!!!!🦃💚💗💚💓🥰!
It's a good idea to introduce new birds at night, while everyone is roosting. Quietly add the new member, and let them stay roosted. In the morning everyone wakes up just like nothing has changed. Great addition Kelly. Great video.
As Jessica wrote, introduction at night is a good idea (for next time). Also they do need to decide who is in command. This means a little struggle between the birds in the beginning, but they will sort that out rather quickly. ☃️🐐🐣😀🌞

An idea, chickens love grapes. Kind of a cool thing to plant vines on one end of the enclosure, and as they grow and produce the chickens love it.
Now @ 9:44 those Chickens have some pretty mellow sounds.

the little lizard you saved was a juvenile brown basilisk and the neat thing about them is that they can run on water! It earns them the nickname Jesus lizard because of their fun talent! That is all I know about them but I do love to see them!

Picture this Kelly- I'm 13yrs old and I'm new to the 4Hclub myself and my pops build a huge coop and run for 6hens,6 ducks, and 2 pullet-sized turkeys. By the end of that summer in 76, I'm walking down the dirt path to the school up the road with a goat named Jerimiah, my black lab Molly, all six ducks, and the two turkeys all single file following me to the school. Turkeys are not dumbasses nor are Ducks, ya just gotta work with them when they're young

Ask the channel LifeTransPlanet (one word) about turkeys, they have or had turkey and chickens together..
,,,mmm perhaps next time put some fertilizer in the hole you dug and spray some water in the hole to dampen the soil . cut one or two pieces of 2" PVC pipe 24 to 36 inches long and drill 1/2 inch holes - every 6 inches a long it and place then in the hole before you place the tree roots in it . the PVC pipes makes it very easy to water the roots of the tree instead of just soaking the top soil in hopes the water makes it down to the roots !

Kelly there is an arborist tool called a stump grinder it will greatly chew up stump bottom of tree in the ground maybe hire or rent a stump grinder and remediate /chew up remaining stump into sawdust & wood chips. By the way they grind up down into dirt.

Make sure you have multiple citrus trees nearby. They need to cross pollinate to have alot of fruit.

Turkeys are generally dominate to chickens.They're sorta loners.They usually prefer tunneling or a den instead of a roost. They grow really fast and will let the chicks know who's incharge...

We were hearing some first class swear words from the chickens, I can tell you that much. They will be humbled soon enough. As for the tree, I want to try my luck with a KUMQUAT. My grandparents in Vero Beach had several and the fruits were amazing.

Haha actually, was considering a similar comment. I’ve bought the 2’ sections simply cause didn’t need the 10’. Crazy the cost and some readers may not realize the cost difference. But, when cost isn’t a concern, the 10’ still gives more flexibility for a custom fit.

Sounds like a hen turkey. Putt, putt ,kee,kee sounds like wild hens make.
Tell the boys to get out some turkey calls and try to see how the turkey interacts with them making the calls.that would be a cool video to see. I havent owned a turkey yet but I've hunted them and they can be very vocal at times.already hearing your turkey putting and keekeeing is awesome. I hope the chickens warm up to the new addition to their crew soon.
I wish You would ask what we think before You get things like think like this. I love my Myer lemon tree and a wooden dowel would have easer for the turkey to perch on.

in Malaysia we eat the banana bloom, and some other country in Asia too i believe. it is so nice to pair with some kind of spicy and sour sauce. you should try it. you can just boil it, or you can make dish call "kerabu"
