Wise words from a wise man. It's getting to the point that college athletics is turning people off what with wokism, political correctness, commercialism, etc. These kids think they're entitled and that's entirely the wrong thing to teach them. As for Notre Dame, in the old days kids knew it was a privilege to play there because they would get a good education and learn great life lessons. Now it's what can ND do for me? God bless Coach Holtz. Mainly Notre Dame needs to become really Catholic again, not just Catholic in name only. You can't forbid pro life people to advertise on campus and call yourself Catholic.

Commercialism is the main problem with college football, and it's directly a product of capitalism. "Wokeism" and "political correctness" have nothing to do with it.

I watched pro and college football because it was a game, but pro became a money grab, and college sports followed that pattern as well; however, Coach Holtz's words of guidance and inspiration remain a unwavering.

Their scholarship, tutors, meals, medical care and anything else they get should be taxed. Getting a full scholarship is not a value or incentive anymore. How about when a player gets caught with dope or a gun or breaks a law he has to reimburse the university. Paying back what the university has invested in the player.

What’s TERRIBLE is players being promised the world to play at certain schools and staffs changes on them IF they find a “better player”… loyalty goes both ways… College football isn’t “ruined” it has evolved. If “learning” is the goal that happens regardless…

Bunch of small teams get elevated to get their chance Houston, Cinncy and Ucf. People don't iike change but sport is in great shape. Sorry coach Holtz big time athletics in college is about kids wanting to make it to NFL to make millions.

The transfer portal has players going through colleges like $5 hook-%&

Wow, coaches of college basketball and football are the highest state employee in many states. But don't believe that those who risk their bodies so that the Coaches "Lords" can earn huge paychecks. Jeremiah 22:13
“Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness And his chambers by injustice, Who uses his neighbor’s service without wages And gives him nothing for his work,
Colleges should take a percentage of the basketball TV, tickets and merchandise income and pay it wages for players. Set a high and low range. The total players wages should be much higher that the percentage for coaches, trainers and support staff.
Each team should stand on it's income. The fruit of a football player labor shouldn't support other teams that can't raise their own income. Players need to unionize
