Trijicon also puts Scripture on most of their optics. PSA 18:28 is Psalms 18:28 "You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light."
NDNEWC my ACOG has John 8:12 on it. Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
@@alihilly1 The irony of a non American typing their criticism of Americans on their American computer, on an American Website, by an American channel on American built internet infrastructure is even more hilarious!
Some people such as members of law enforcement or people putting these on home or personal defense firearms may be staking their lives on these optics working properly. Fraudulently selling cheap knockoffs as the real thing is absolutely reprehensible
I don't think the makers of these sights really intend to fool most people. I think they make them really close so people who want the look can have it without breaking the bank. Think Airsoft or armchair warrior / mall ninja types. If they wanted to make an exact copy, they would.
I totally agree. This is for airsoft. I think the real optics companies are worried that a replica may actually out perform their over priced products. O course the gun snobs are afraid to admit they may have just wasted $600
I know this is a video that’s almost 5 years old is very informative I learned quite a bit but please tell me what type make and model watch you are wearing I love it?!
Someday Amazon and Ebay will take a more firm stance on bunk counterfeit products being sold on their websites. On any given day I could easily find thousands of counterfeits and so could they if they actually felt compelled to do so. But they profit from them being sold, so their doing anything about this blight is sporadic and few and far in between.
The fake MRO has serif typeface. The real deal has sans-serif. The typeface on the fake is likely the Courier font, or something very close to it. Comic sans is a sans-serif font.
I saw wal mart get screwed on an ar15 grip, it was in a Blackhawk box, but it was obviously an A2 pistol grip, and it had a $20 price tag on it, and needless to say it hung on the shelf for a long time.
Just buy new from a reputable dealer and then call Trijicon immediately after receipt of the item and verify authenticity. They will be more than happy to verify the supplier and the actual sight you are buying with the serial number. Your Welcome
The fake RMR that someone gave me years ago matches the fake one in this video exactly. Allen heads are off center, font is two different sizes - Identical. It does still work though, maybe I should put it on a 22. Or when the YC9 comes out in 2025.
Thanks for he video. MRO portion is obsolete already as the fake one I bought on purpose is the exact same as my real one that I got from Brownells. RMR is spot on.
I buy the fakes chaeply on EBAY to put on airsoft replicas. I do not believe I can buy a good red dot for 40 USD, and that is how much these fake ones cost. So keep that in mind when browsing for red dots, especially that will be used on firearms. It is one thing a 30 USD red dot failing during an airsoft game, and anothe thing entirely to fail in a home deffence situation (I live in Europe and we do not have such free access to weapons, as you know). Do not cheap out on security.
I legit bought a mro at cabelas 2 days ago and everything you just described is leading me to a fake trijicon MRO wtf!? Literally everything you just said on the fake is the one i have!!!
I got all my money back and dont even have to call to see if its fake because the guys at the gun counter looked at it and laughed said how the hell did they manage to sell you this i bought it at the "bargain cave" section at cabelas but i should call trijicon and let them know because i called up at cabelas to see if they threw it away like i said and sure enough they have a used "trijicon mro" for sale again so i should call trijicon and let them know cabelas in WV is selling a fake trijicon and i got fooled into buying it once
Bstoy21 Lol, cabelas in Dub V don't care as long as they make money they don't give a funk! I'm a native too and I'm not at all surprised! The only way I would ever trust I got a real trijicon or aimpoint is to wait for a deal and order from optics planet. I'm not even 💯on brownells when it comes to this type of thing!
So font size, laser emitter placement and ninja star battery pattern is the difference of hundreds? So if trijicon made affordable optics, maybe Chinese bootlegs wouldn't exist. I'm not condoning forgery and the illegal sales.
I unknowingly purchased a fake RMR from a major retailer. I later tried to mate it with a Trijicon low mount. They will not fit - that was another give away. I learned that at the time, most of the fake RMRs had the same serial number, that did not match the packaging. I'm sure it was returned by a scmmer in an official RMR box. In the end, the retailer was very accommodating but the whole experience was not fun. Keep a sharp eye out, guys.
You need to rotate the lens group inside so the laser shoots from the right, about 30degrees.Use some grease where needed. Needs to unscrew the lens rings 1 front and 1 rear. Also competely remove the two knobs. I did that and now it is parallax free.
YES! The fakes are getting better and better but the one thing they cant fake is a real serial number. On the RMR's the fakes will usually use 163268, I'm not sure about the MRO's. The best way is to call trijicon and run the serial number by them. Also, the trijicon box has a serial number on the bottom that should match what's on the RMR.
One thing that will always work is to look through it. Just set it on a table pointing the dot on the center of a target and move your head around behind the optic. The dot will move around. Fakes are not parallax free. This will always work.
The fakes will move? If you set she sight on a table pointing the dot on a fixed objet and move your head around the dot will not stay fixed on the object on the fake?
Trijicon also puts Scripture on most of their optics. PSA 18:28 is Psalms 18:28 "You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light."

I didn’t notice a scripture reference on the fake MRO.
The irony of Americans putting a bible verse on something used to kill. Its literally hilarious.

Anthony Banks I’m american, you fucking clown. So therefore I literally stopped reading your car crash of a comment after that.
Some people such as members of law enforcement or people putting these on home or personal defense firearms may be staking their lives on these optics working properly. Fraudulently selling cheap knockoffs as the real thing is absolutely reprehensible
Keep busting the garbage. Great work. So far you nailed Fireclean, Sig, and now fake MRO's.
I don't think the makers of these sights really intend to fool most people. I think they make them really close so people who want the look can have it without breaking the bank. Think Airsoft or armchair warrior / mall ninja types. If they wanted to make an exact copy, they would.
I don't have such faith in the Chinese. They r after all communists

you showed the physical differences...it would be nice if you also talked about the performance differences
Their not gonna do that because there is none….
thanks for explaining this about the emitter on the MRO, i wondered about the lens cant . thought it looked odd.
I think the music might be generic 2 am counterfeit music. Not sure, I can't see the copyright or the font.

A big thing also is the coating, I’ve never seen the optic coating faked properly.
check when some of Sig pistols introduced @ 2017 Shot Show will be available 320 models

I'm going to get mine from Omaha Outdoors because of this video. Thanks!
Thanks for he video. MRO portion is obsolete already as the fake one I bought on purpose is the exact same as my real one that I got from Brownells. RMR is spot on.
I assure you that didn’t copy the lens coating.
Nice content Andrew especially for a person like myself who may be in the market to purchase a RMR in the next several months.
Can you do one on the T1 aimpoints. I really have to look at everything and compare it to my legit ones.
Usually if it sells for 1/10th of the price of the original it's a pretty good sign. :)
You just saved me $400. Thank you
3:50 RMR
2:45 the MRO does not have any comic sans but it does have unfinished casting marks.
Very informative video. Thanks
Excellent video! Thank you.
How can you spot a fake dual illuminated model. Just got mine in today an I wanna make sure I got what I paid for
I thought the fake ones were for airsoft....they even say replica, not real trijicon in the sale titles.

report back with who it goes. actually call trijicon and see if your serial number is in their system.

I’m with you my mro outside is perfect Got it at Cabela’s in Gonzales Louisiana and the Emulators on the bottom but everything else is perfect

Just ordered one from you guys.
Just go their website and do a serial number search
Just had mine verified by Trijicon, anxiety at ease

It's 2:03am and I wast thinking about buying a clone rmr😂
Good info but somewhat drowned out by the funky music.
Don't think airsoft need a real red dot.
problem is they are selling them for the real thing. We airsofters will not pay 300 USD for a red dot :)
Good Stuff!
THANK YOU!!!!!!!! I indeed have a fake! Bought it on eBay. Fool me once, shame on you.
Buy at midway USA never amazon
We sell them as well!

The
idk i have a real one it has some parallax
All red dots have some parallax, doesn’t matter what type of red dot it is. Some more than others.
THE BEAAARDDD!! NOOOOOOO!! WHERE IS IT!?!??!?!
A friend of mine sold his Triji Mro recently because of ridiculous parallax issue, and it was definitely not a fake one from China😂😂
Did he try using the lifetime warranty to get it fixed?
@@tpfrk8977 nah, he just sold his mro and got compm5 instead
3:50 for rmr
i believe my swampfox sentinel is fake
just superblack the mro lol
China wonders why we dislike then......
What's with the Music?
just make your own optic.. why copy the real ones.. never understand.
YeuLaKho Why does airsoft guns look like real ones? Nvr understand
this is airsoft version toy sight, stop calling fake! They serve difference groups of people.
Fake
its a fake anyway you look at it if it was not manufactured by trijicon. if you don't like the word fake, how about "replica"? will that work?
Bless your heart.
