I agree with the List but White Lion debuted here in Germany with "Pride" and "Big Game" went Platinum as their Best here; and one you must Ist also: *Frehley's Comet* (1987)😮
Almost every hair band's debut album was their best. Poison, Cinderella, Skid Row, Bon Jovi, so many good albums. Roxx Gang. Midnight/Tornado is the best song...after 18-Life from Skid Row.
This is a great list. Only one I haven’t heard is Spread Eagle. I’d probably put Cinderella at number one. Another good debut album is Tora Tora/Surprise Attack
Leather Boyz With Electric Toyz is THE quintessential glam metal album. Look What The Cat Dragged In is pretty close. Too Fast For Love is the daddy of the genre.
There was an extremely brief tour back in 91 "Operation rock n roll"....Judas Priest - Alice Cooper were to coheadline followed by Motorhead, Dangerous toys, Metal church. Many of us were pumped but it was over before it really got going, still not sure why.
Good list. I'd put Cinderella first followed closely by Out of the Cellar and Too Fast for Love. Nice to see you mentioned SHOTGUN MESSIAH, their second album is one of my favorites of all time. Keep the glam metal videos coming!
Great list! I'd add: Girl - sheer greed, Twisted Sister - under the blade and Hanoi Rocks - Bangkok shocks... Whether they're metal or not they're great glam albums!!
Vain "No Respect" This band escaped me during my teen years in the 80s. I found Davy Vain and the boys album "No Respect" (and "new" original female lead guitarist Dylana....fans of Vain know what I am trying to convey) a few months ago. Killer, killer album from start to finish. If you have not ever heard or listened to this album, I promise that you will not be disappointed. Jake E. Lee's band Badlands debut is killer.....Faster Pussycat debut is one of my favorite albums of all time....oozes the sleeze of the Sunset Strip. For the record, like Eddie Trunk, I cannot stand the term Hair Metal.....I am starting a movement to label 80s glam or so called hair metal as Sunset Strip metal. LA Guns debut has an incredibly unique sound...the production is extremely raw and heavy. Nevertheless, good list bro!
Great list but I would have to slide in Slave Raider Take The World By Storm towards the top. If you haven’t heard of this one I suggest giving it a whirl. It’s such a great party album!
Decent list. Suggestion: Learn more about Rod Morganstein (see Dixie Dregs). Other amazing debuts: GnR (I consider them glam), Great White, House of Lords, Damn Yankees, Saraya. Cool video and reviews for sure!

It's interesting that you include bands like Skid Row and LA Guns, but not Guns N Roses. I honestly wouldn't consider any of them glam anyway, but they are very similar bands. Either way, great list!
It’s kinda hard with some bands... I go back and forth with LA Guns but decided to include them anyways... Skid Row is definitely on the heavier side but for their first album at least I’ve always called it Glam Metal... then there’s a band like Kingdom Come, if I was counting their debut it would’ve been 2nd on the list but I didn’t really feel right about calling it Glam haha... and thanks!
Agreed about GNR. This is why I prefer to use the tag "sleaze" rock/metal nowadays. Sure, we didn't use it back in the 80s/90s but it really is the best descriptor for this style of music. So I use both tags interchangeably BECAUSE I'M OLD. I'm putting Smashed Gladys somewhere near the top of my list. RIP Sally Cato!!!!!!!!!!!

Invasion of Your Privacy is better than Out Of The Cellar! I have them both on vinyl. IMO Shout At The Devil tops both of them! Have the original with the GOOD art and better sounding Elektra release. I also have the remastered shitty sounding Motley Records re-issue. Dude you need to ditch the glasses, you look like you’re about to tell me I need to come in to work on Saturday
Uh, I’m also gonna need you to go ahead and come in on Sunday too, ok?
@@brycetalksmetal Just don't take my stapler and/or move my desk down to storage "B".
Invasion of Your Privacy is better than Out Of The Cellar! I have them both on vinyl. IMO Shout At The Devil tops both of them!
Have the original with the GOOD art and better sounding Elektra release. I also have the remastered shitty sounding Motley Records re-issue. The inside art looks like someone pissed on the originals before they scanned them & the cheap packaging really devalues the legacy of the album. Boo to whoever signed off on the distribution of this full on craporama representation of one of the best metal albums of all time!
Invasion is definitely better than Out of the Cellar.
These days I go back and forth between Invasion & Cellar, but years ago I shared the same belief.
