Of course saint stefan never let elena or anyone know that he lost coin toss and was supposed to turn Bonnie's mother. But damon went ahead and did so stefan wouldn't go further off the deep end. But nope don't give damon any credit
Stefan had no obligation to say anything because Damon was forward and did what Stefan was capable of doing himself and Damon did it to save his brother from the guilt he would be raked with to hold it over Stefan he did it because he loves his brother
@@leedaniso first off I didn't say stefan had an a obligation to tell anyone. I do believe I said in my statement why damon did it. I made my statement and MY opinion because stefan could have let elena know that damon did it for him so she wouldn't just automatically think bad damon doing what he does. Everyone had another strike against damon . When he actually did something selfless to help his brother. So I dont care If you don't agree with me because its my opinion. Even Matt agrees with Damon more then Stefan that someone you love most of all could make there own decisions as long as it is not life threatening
Matt is torn between Stefan's way and Damon's way. He acts like Damon when he drugs Elena to get her out of the house. Then he acts like Stefan when he gives her the choice to keep driving or turn around and go back. What Matt wants to do is take her out of town because he's smart like Damon, but he knows it has to be her choice. That's why she dies. Everything in 3x22 and 4x1 had to be her choice. That includes feeding because she's sired to Damon the moment she does. In that sire bond, they start learning how to meet in the middle. After a while, you start seeing Damon and Elena make choices together as a couple. Stefan would simply agree with her choices regardless of his.
@@DDT-ei7bh and that's why I found Stelena to be boring. Stefan was like a puppy. Do everything master says. And realistically that's not healthy because he blindly was an accomplice to every bad decision she makes

Re watching season 3 has been an eye opener. This scene with Matt and her explanation of why she felt safe with Stefan is why they wouldn't have made it at the end. Whether she ended with Damon or not.

@@thevampirediaries9600 seriously, people overlooked this show because it was about teenagers and vampires, but the depth in that conversation with Matt. At the end it was all because of her grief and fear on keep on losing the ones she love. She thought, if Stefan can live forever than maybe I can love him forever and never hurt. 😢
Gleidis Santos, I just saw that scene today, and I was laughing because when Matt asked her who she should let go then, Stephan walked into Elena’s front door. That was an answer to all us viewers.

She knows that had she listened to Damon, Abby would still be a witch and Esther would be back in her coffin.
