This week, I turned the picture on the Utah license plate into a real thing. I recreated Delicate Arch from Arches National Park in Utah and added it to the Wild Imaginary West.

For the Wild West, you should have outlaws riding monsters while raiding a town, to add the possibility of taming or even domesticating monsters.
I for one would love to see this happen in the Wild West
good one
What an absolutely fantastic idea.
I have been sayimg from almost the beginning that having some people riding around on some fantastical creatures would be awesome. Domesticated creatures would definately fit right into the WIW.
Just imagine how cool it'd be to see an outlaw riding a giant monitor lizard as he robbed a wagon train. Or maybe a mountain man rolling into town on the back of a huge dire wolf! 😲🤞
I love your idea it's perfect for the WIW!!
If you ever publish your wild imaginary west story, I’d buy it for sure
100% agreed
Yes!! An adventyure set in that universe with all your creations involved, and maybe illustrated, would be damn fantastic. Looking forward to the animated or live action series!
agreed
I'm tempted to rip it off and make a civil war story about a young Irish immigrant and a miner named Samuel Clemens in the wild imaginary west right on the cusp of the war.
Oh it'd be an amazing graphic novel.
YES, please do more national park themed ones! It’ll be cool to see a sequoia model or even Bryce Canyon or Zion
Yes
Or an Old Faithful, mid boom.
Yes, PLEASE! Grand Canyon and Crater Lake would be really cool, too!
Keep it to Colorado and do Mesa Verde!
Ooh a sequoia tree village. A whole village in a single tree...
Love the simplicity of this scene - doesn’t need a monster to fit in with WIW.
I agree. This is my favourite so far.
Needs a pterasaur roosting on the top, but camouflaged so the guys below haven't seen it.
I like that there’s only a hint of imaginary in this wild west. The real Wild West wasn’t constantly filled with train robberies and duels at sundown, there’s moments of peace and calm. I think you could do some more really interesting vignettes like this. As always fantastic work.
Well said my guy
Yeah I like how it's not steam-punky at all
Humans couldn't even live there for long if it was nothing but monsters all day long. It would be impossible to build towns and farms, work the mines, build railways, return alive from hunting/scouting trips, and so forth. The monsters need to be sporadic for the humans to still prosper. Of course it's also possible there used to be a whole lot of monsters, but guns made short work of them. That's the realistic outcome, but not very romantic at all.
I'm Lovin' It
mcdonalds is good
Even the wild imaginary west needs peaceful moments like this one!
oooohhh the colors - lovely job on this one Boylei, that may be your best paint job to date!
As a Utah resident, thank you for such a great representation of our great Delicate Arch. Your vision for it is beautiful.
Love it!
That directional lighting paint job is amazing 😮💜
As someone who was born and grew up in Utah traveling to all the national parks every summer when I was kid. Arches was always my favorite so this build means a lot to me. So thank you for making an awesome build!
I have to ask. What happened to the second arch? Did some dumb teen go TNT crazy to try and be funny?
Or... did it collapse from natural causes?
@@TheHeartlessHero well to be honest I’ve never heard of this supposed twin arch. I’m pretty sure that he added that in for a laugh and it never really existed
Just recently started my very first diorama. Very very tiny but a great start so far :) You inspired me highly. Dealing with very rough stuff in life and decided to finally use some creative time for myself :)
Man, this is exactly what I need on a relaxing Sunday morning.
I just need to say I appreciate your humor in these videos, back in the day if you were to watch an old video of someone creating something like this it would be very cut and dry type stuff, no humor and could be boring but you always bring life to the videos as well as the creation you’re making and it makes it that much more enjoyable to come back time and time again.
This is so stunningly beautiful. I can almost actually see the sun in the background. Such good object source lightning
Beautiful place. I went to Delicate Arch 22 years ago now. Absolutely beautiful and breath taken place. With you modelling it. Was brilliant
Directional shading/ painted lighting will never stop amazing me, it looks so good on camera!
wow, seeing the finished product rotating at the end really highlights how good the directional lighting job was - it actually feels like the last rays of sun are slipping past the horizon as the side facing the camera becomes the shadow side, then like a sunrise as the first highlighted edges come back into view from the other side.
I grew up in Utah. Pretty funny you used the license plate for your reference. The arch license plate is one of the more basic things I miss about living in Utah. It's one of the best license plates in the country, and it looks great on vehicles.
Such an awesome job!! I REALLY love the paint job on this one. Painting a single point light source with cast shadows on a 3D object is so cool!! I'm an illustrator, so this is something I do all the time, just on a 2D surface. I love the concept and the finished effect. Absolutely gorgeous work!!
Something about this build just makes me feel so cozy - maybe it's the beauty of a sunset in nature. I don't know, but I love it. Keep up the great work!
Amazing build. The painting of the light is incredible.
Doesn't need a monster.
you Americans are so blessed with all those beautiful national parks.
Loved the model. No monster no worries….that’s what sunsets are about. 😊
This looks amazing! As a native Utahn who has visited Delicate Arch many times, I can confirm this was spot-on. 👏
Amazing how it looks like there is a light shining on it from the right side, great use of highlights and shadows.
I'm a huge fan of Arches National Park and especially like this one.
A simple concept executed very well. The directional lighting is really cool and an interesting way to show the strengths of an airbrush.
Utah resident here , love the build and thank you for doing my favorite National Park justice ❤
Genuinely glad I watched all the way to the end! Thank you for sharing your art and inspiration.
Beautiful! The antenna on the cowboy is enough of a clue to show its part of the imaginary west. The arc is the main star and that’s all it needs.
I watch your videos to fall asleep, the intro now gets me yawning no matter what time of day I watch your stuff
Every time you upload a video, I happen to be having a joint. What joy it brings me.
The black 3.0 for the bases is such an inspired choice. It really makes the dioramas look like they are cut out pieces of a little world.
Utahn here! You did an amazing job at portraying our iconic arch!! This is awesome!
look at you showing off all that foam!... Purty rock Caleb
One of the best atmospheric pieces you have made.
I love how you sculpt light more than models.
The paint job is amazing!!!, It feels like a sunset but then you see the studio behind and you notice that it doesn't belong there, it feels so real, congrats!
That arch draft started from dogcrap to holycrap real quick. Amazing skills🤩
The forced lighting turned out so pretty!! Really great job!
I think this is my favourite build yet, it's so tranquil
I call Utah home and have visited the arch before. Needless to say, I appreciate this.
Another beautiful piece of art!! Thanks for the vid Mr. Hobby Time! It always brightens my day
If anyone new is watching this and you are just getting into this hobby, what he did with that painting was amazing. That takes so much practice to get to that level. He made it look so easy but as someone newish myself, I can guarantee you it’s taken him years to learn how to do shading and light like that.
Well done man!
I absolutely agree. This is fine-art level skill.
So simple yet so dramatic! Bravo!👏👏👏👏🤜🏼🤛🏻
This is incredible! The detail in all your work is astounding
That was a really great build I'd love to have that setting up on my coffee table.
The story this single diorama tells is amazing
Discovering this channel has been the greatest thing. Man, your work is phenomenal.
The paint itself is the lighting ! 🤍🤍😍
Spectacular paint job! And cool McDonalds facts too, this build has it all!
Utah! My home state! Great job capturing the Arch. It's one of those places I've never had the opportunity to visit.
this might just be my favorite diorama you've made, the colors are just perfect.
Caleb, you're inspired. God bless ya
god i love these projects
This paint job is incredible. My eyes are beyond tricked 😂. Keep being you and pushing forward my guy 🙏
This is one of my favorites. A long series of great creative decisions, the rock looks great, the purple and gold highlights work so well, the decision to not disrupt it with monsters keeps it serene.
you are the Bob Ross of craft, lol. Very relaxing voice and beautiful end results. Good work!
Evertime you upload a see a new skill shining through, so so talented, absolutely love your work 🔥🔥🔥
As always, WONDERFUL artwork! Colors, simplicity ✨️ Beautiful. Keep on Rockin 🎵🍻😎
Nothing wrong with a simpler build. The paint job is incredible! Love the Imaginary Wild West, can't wait for the next one!
Love love love! I’m a Utah transplant in Colorado and you’ve nailed delicate arch. Also best camping I’ve done is in black canyon!
As someone who never attempts to do this type of stuff, I am in awe of how easily your creations end up looking like the real thing! Its so simple yet seems so difficult. Love your stuff
The purple shadow looks amazing
You’ve really captured the sunset colours! Love the simplicity of this one.
The choice of colors is so accurate and beautiful! Great job as always
Really good. I'm loving what you have been doing with directional lighting in your builds
Once again, your video is one of the best parts of my week.
Nice, sometimes you just need simple and clean. When all around can be crazy and outrageous. Great work.
Wow, so realistic, It Looks like the real thing.....This Arch belongs perfectly with your Wild west town. Very relaxing view...
The directional lighting turned out amazing. The simplicity of this is very reminiscent of the real arch.
Brilliant! I am loving your Imaginary Wild West. I was thinking, you should write short stories for each little diorama, explaining why it is happening and the result of the confrontation/what happens. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.
I never get tired of this series. You're so creative and its so unique.
Spraypainted light looks crazy good
Man that's so clever.. I thought that was lighting until I watched it.. and it's all paint shading! Wowzers. Nice one man.
You are talented and so skilled. It is a pleasure to watch you work
Your painting in this piece is my favorite I’ve gotten to see you do. It goes to show how easily you create the atmosphere as well as the physical piece itself. Especially with this one, your beautiful scenery is amazing dude! And I love the imaginary West, keep it going!!!
Im addicted to these videos, so well made and creative! ❤
agreed- it definitely doesn’t need a monster or a mech. a nice peaceful evening..
This is amazing 🙌🏽 I can watch you all day, keep up the great way!
Great choice! Loved going there. Utah is so fun to visit. Came out great!
I used to live in Utah and traveled to Delicate Arch many times. I’d say you captured it perfectly, nice work!
Your talent and understanding of lighting dynamics is absolutely astounding. Love your stuff as always Boylei!
Splendid Wild West dio...and colors, truly superb!👍👍😍😍
I actually really like how subtle the fantasy elements are in this diorama. Excellent work as always.
I love the dioramas you make!
Also, as a Missourian (KC), I would like to say that the reason the Gateway Arch is considered a national park, is because of the green space around it where people often gather with others. They also have events there.
Man, that was beautiful. My favourite piece of this little universe so far, it is so delightfully simple and pretty. The piece looks gorgeous, the light effect is frankly inspiring to look at, and the single detail of the antennas gives the scene the twist, saying so clearly that this is not JUST the wild west. Wow. Woooow. Your art is inspiring man, it really pushes me to try and be creative too.
5:05 The way you talked about that "Arches' story sounded completely convincing on your end. When you finished it I was like "wait...what?" lol
Inspired, just inspired. Love your work.
I have to say I really enjoy watching you progress, your painting has made leaps and bounds since I’ve first started watching. Thanks again for the inspiration and keep up the great work
Looking good! I love the gradient shading you did with the airbrush it came out great!
Love this one. It's a pretty nice diorama.
That airbrushing skill was 100% on display here. Those colors are so freaking awesome and on point!!!!
Nailed it!
What a mood! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for not adding a monster or mech to this one, it's nice to enjoy a peaceful sunset every now and then.
I was slightly disappointed there wasn't something spooky hidden in this one
but I really like how you achieved the impression of light/shadow
I've started looking forward to seeing your work every ish week
wahooo! Utah, that park is so cool, my favorite time to be there is winter, all that red rock with the bright white snow is so pretty.
I nearly spit my cereal on the monitor when you were telling the story about the twin arches. 🤣👍
Great project. You make it look so easy but I’m sure if I tried to build this my first few attempts would probably look like croquet hoops. Thanks for sharing and making me feel more comfortable with my own skills.
