i still have the issue of SLAP Magazine that he was on the cover of, i remember in that issue Moses Itkonen and Scott Johnston were also featured. -anyone remember the skateboard brand MADCIRCLE ??? those boards were freakin' AWESOME !!!
This is wonderful. I was trying to find a short film about Bobby Puleo building spots in different underutilized parts of the city and found out about his general art practice connecting to his skating! Amazing.
Yes 4 12-14year old like me in 2002 i felt good on such board infms exactly, then zyork also or even7.5 now i see after years.i think because i was skinny kid i skated those but now 8.5 standard deck.
@@masterlogray exactly, im 85kg now but still 1.77cm(i lost 5 kg :) and after 2 year brake i have problems with skatin 7.7 board and hard wheels.i had more and longer stops 33now 12years maybe of active skating.but still love it
My friend who was older than me skated an indoor mini with Puleo in the late 90s and said he was doing Ollie nosemanuels on the deck. I thoight it was pretty mind bending at the time. I learned that trick soley on the strength of puleo folklore!
87!! damn basquiat was still alive and puleo was a couple miles away skating. bobby’s a legend for real. he’s been in so many eras and is still skating.
If you haven't already, check out his Nine Club ep. It's amazing. Such an interesting and talented dude. For any of us who grew up in NY/NJ in the 80's... legend. Moved to Cali in 85 and never came back.
I think that i understand what he is trying to create, i see the repeated objects as portraits of humans that had been under different conditions or maybe im too high but anyway, puleo is so great
This dude had such cool photos and style in the mid-90s while he was on Stereo. I guess he was only on between A Visual Sound and Time Can Folklore, since he wasn’t in either video, which is a bummer.
if the camera wasn't on the he would have taken that dead pigeon.
Love this comment
@@nickstarcev2696 lololol me too!
He went back for it
I love that Puleo is opening up so much more these days. Dude is gnarlier than I ever thought.
Clearly, he's thinking differently and I like that!
The art of him actually looks pretty good, the Marlboro frame is fire!
Lenny i thought the same thing

So glad you addressed the origins of the term "conspiracy theory." It's important for people to understand the way social programming works.
that's how the mainstream tampers down dissent, you can't have any opinion that goes against the narrative of the media

Shout out to all the skaters living in the nineties and still riding 7.75!
Haha they are hard to find these days. But I'm older and fatter now so an 8 is just fine. But 7.75.... Oh man... Those were the days!

I dig the art and the process
Also, CIA and Mossad did 9/11
at 2:49 you can see a set of 3 wheels, less one that he lost in the downhill as he told at Nine Club, and the new sets that Jim thiebaud sent to him .
iuppi appa noticed that too
Want to learn more about this man! I should say I loved this series. plz keep making of these.
Love his art!
I enjoy seeing people's personal environments (apartments or house) it's something deliciously personal

What a great video. Thank you. I was entertained.
Legend! This is real raw street skating! Have to dealing with wacos
Everything about this was amazing. Bobby Puleo is the answer. Through that crazy story I can see how Victim came up ("you'll be a victim").
87!! damn basquiat was still alive and puleo was a couple miles away skating. bobby’s a legend for real. he’s been in so many eras and is still skating.
Wish this was a two hour documentary...

Just excellent. What an amazing out the box individual.
Interesting
, thoughtful guy. Great art.
New Bobby Puleo footage? I never clicked so fast!
That's art right there
seems like a chill dude but i can't really get with the concept of picking up garbage from the street and laying it out on your bed like that...
Yeah but like maybe a specific table he uses for art? Not just laying found stuff where he puts his face possibly
He’s not a square, dude, lol.
I mean as skaters aren't we garbage lying in our own beds?
lol he wiped his bed off with his hand after dude chill

Can we have this as weekly episodes with bobby, thrasher?, great content
Please thrasher
Knowing Bobby and seeing the stuff he gravitates toward to skate I think it’s his nostalgia for weasel brook park and Ollieing the slide?
Glad he's awake though! Amen Bobby
When someone carries there blade in their mouth on the street, it's safe to say they haven't let go of prison.
