@El Chingonジョナサン the problem isn't the substance itself, which is probably applied in controlled dozes and under monitoring in hospitals.
The problem here was that a lot of people would just think any disinfectant you could buy in a Walmart would do for the COVID and ingest it directly without any medical supervision (and obviously not taking in consideration all the other chemicals involved in its creation that may have adverse effects on the internal organs). Heck, I remember reading on Twitter that a lot of people did this and were heavily intoxicated.
The way this topic is so lightly taken by Trump is probably what made this ma'am get ashamed. Because a lot of people don't use common sense in these kind of things.

The man was, right after hearing a breakthrough report from the DHS about disinfectants and UV rays being super effective at killing the SARS-CoV-2 virus, thinking out loud and offering a handful of wild ideas where they could utilise these agents to cure people of COVID. He called it "interesting".
He was even turning to DHS Director William Bryan during his comments, saying that these methods hadn't been checked yet but they were going to test it.
Later, during the same interview, he even mentioned the phrases: "Maybe it works, maybe it doesn't", "maybe it can, maybe it can't", and "I think it's a great thing to look at".
He's spitballing ideas after just hearing how the virus can be killed, and everyone took his comments as a direction to the American people to go into their laundry and inject their household bleach directly into their veins. People still believe it to this day.
The whole thing was a ludicrous circus, and the corporate press were the ringmasters running it.

Trump was asking questions of Dr Birx. He said “medical doctors” would be used.
Trump was not directing anything. He was merely summing up what medical doctors would do. Trump was not suggesting to a citizen what they should do.
