There is a pin inside one of the back drawers. Pull the pin and you can pull the drawer out. Under the drawer will have paper from National Cash Register . It will also show the date made, who it shipped to
If you pull the drawer out, lift up, and then pull it all the way out, you should find documentation on the underside of the drawer from National Cash Regiser. Likely showing the model, the person it was sold to, and inspection information with dates! Good luck!
This is the "dolphin" pattern ,which was designed by tiffany studios. Looks like the nickel has been removed (common). We are currently working on one which was painted. The nickel plating under the paint on ours appears to be pristine.
It looks like a 1915 National . Look up the serial # for the year. The white marble looks original . Buy 2 Rosetta screws on ebay . You are missing a counter on inside. To unlock keys try on inside all to right next to plate is a lever. Pull the lever down back towards you and push each key separate to find stuck one. This will unlock it . But it will not unlock all the way. Then try it with draw closed with lever held back. You may need # 2 key on left outside of register.
Thanks for letting me know! I’ll look into those tips you shared. The problem with the serial # is that it’s hard to see. I tired to make out as many numbers as I can. I love that this is such a good piece to learn about!
I have the same model cash register in my house. It came from my great grandmother. It still works.

The rod that sticks up with the screw slot is a key lock. Try operating that. My model 333 has a knob on the end for that purpose.
