Good one. The other day I bent my knees because I was surfing into a strong crosswind. I'm like, "Hey, this feels good." I'll keep this tip in mind tomorrow. Thanks.

Awesome… I actually felt like I was bending my knees until I was practicing cross-stepping on my skateboard and was amazed how much more stable I felt when I felt like I was over exaggerating. Very cool… just a little awkward to get used to😄🤙🤷🏻‍♂️

    Two things:
    1. That was the video I needed to see to get back in the train :) Been making excuses not to surf since December and realise it’s like you said Netflix isn’t going to help :)
    2. Wow awesome improvement with the cross stepping. Please Please just do one session go stalling and running to the end of the board in the white water I’m so confident after you do that it will all come together. Cross stepping like you did without a stall is x10 harder in my opinion.

It can be hard to drag your self out, but you always feel better for it. I've managed at least 1 surf (or sup surf) every week for the past 13 weeks.
Last weekend it looked flat, it was very cold, raining & windy, my friends weren't keen at all. But I was! and once the tide had dropped a bit we got some great 2-3ft waves with no one else around. We all left stoked and ready for week 14. and those who had not really wanted to go out thanked me for dragging them along.

Exactly! Well said and this story about your friends, I know it all too well… keep going and I hope week 14 is just as rewarding🤙🤗

@@noseridesnosedivessurfvlog8634 Thanks man. It's currently looking like small waves and strong offshore winds, but I'm happy to stay in the shallows and work on my popup if need be.. it does need a lot of work!

@@johnphillips4733 great attitude, Perfecting the pop up is a massive issue for me too. We have the complete opposite weather conditions up here… big and onshore🤣🤙
