i’m really glad she didn’t say something like “say no” or something like that. some people say “you could’ve just said no” or “you should’ve just log off” when in reality they did. and then the adult would drag them back in or they would sometimes threaten to do something if they left. people who say “just say no” are those people who never understand. i never dealt with grooming but i know someone who has. predators will do anything and everything to get their way. if more people turn their backs or blame the literal victim, the more predators will get away with it and do it again.
Also, a small correction after what we have seen about Colleen Ballinger, is that the end goal might not always be sexual exploitation, still parents need to take note because still the child will be exploited how the perpetrator sees fit.
